The thing is, you're not going to bring in talent in exchange for underachievers. Hextall wants to keep and develop the younger assets, and that's what it would take to bring in upgrades at this point.

I have a feeling what we're seeing now is basically what we'll be seeing most of the season, for better or for worse.

This team has talent. We are not a Buffalo, Florida, Carolina.

The GM can have a direction of not rushing prospects, and that is fine. He should still do his job and look for good value in the trade market to try and improve his team.
We don't have to throw away the season. We can still be a competitive team and not have our goalies being shell shocked every night

Any GM worth his salt would never accept any kind of heat from the owners regarding moving valuable pieces for a quick fix to make the PO's.

Aubé-Kubel is not in today's lineup..........No word on why, he did play yesterday.

Not a "I told you so" post. Most here know it is a long term trade and not a short term one. Of course I don't like the trade either way but this is just an update. Too early for big conclusions.

Hartnell with his 4th assist and led his team last night in ice time for a forward. He is doing well in CB as expected. RJ with his first assist last night and continues to look good on the PK.
