Totally disagree.
This kid had nothing to learn from playing another year in junior.
Looking at his previous year, it's very hard to imagine he betters it- which in his mind would probably be a disappointment.
He's proven he can be an asset at this level, and as such, he should stay. - Jordo
Yup ten to 12 mins a night in the NHL and practice everyday with the club is way better then going back to a league where there is nothing left for him to do. There is not a single thing left for him in the WHL. He will get his chances on the PK and PP and if theres injuries he will get bumped up. It's a development year for him. Nobody is asking him to have a big role and put up 60 points. Ask Kessler how many mins he a night he played in his rookie year and this guy reminds me alot of Kessler. |

the only way zibby gets shipped out is if someone his age is coming back. why trade our blue chip for a player in his thirties who has a few years of hockey in him. |

No more bluesfest, which would suck, but this city has needed this for far too long. |

Completely realistic, and could see the new arena being ready for the 2021/2022 season. The city needs it, as arena downtown would be amazing for attendance as well. The LRT will be completed by then, with phase 2 in the works, so that will greatly help with the traffic issues.
By 2020, the arena will be almost 30 years old, so it's not like it's completely unrealistic that a new one be ready close to that date. Plus with increased ticket sales, and with the city partially owning the building, it makes lots of sense. I live in Stittsville and even I want this to happen. |

i disagree.....
i think playing 10 mins a night over 80ish games in the NHL is far better for his development than playing junior hockey.
if he was a healthy scratch every other game, or only playing 2-3 minutes a night, then i would agree. but he's playing 10ish minutes, in all situations. he has to stay up. - sensarmy_11
Don't know about the development thing either way, but the kid plays a hard game and I would lean on sending him back just to keep him healthy. He has already been tagged a few times. 19 is still young to be banging around with the men.
Going to be a great all around player. |

not worried about him physically.....the guy is 6'0, 210lbs, i'm sure he can take a beating.
we're not talking about an RNH type guy, who was playing in the NHL weighing 160lbs soaking wet.................i think he'll be fine. |

Haven't been this stoked on a Sens prospect since Erik Karlsson..
Curtis Lazar is going to be a good top 6 forward for this team for years to come. I could even see him getting an A on his jersey after Chris Philips & Neil retire.
He plays a good two way game, can be utilized in almost all situations and in his prime years i can see him as 25G 35A two way center. |

9MM - Thornton - Ryan
Mac - Turris - Stone
Lazar - Leggy - Chiasson
Condra -Smith - Neil
Hoff - Pageau
This to me looks like the best Forward group in the eastern Conference - this is a group that has it all and could beat any team they play |

I don't live anywhere near Ottawa, but I know this would be huge.. I do know some transit upgrades would probably need to happen first. |
