Might be late, but Stars defenseman Patrick Nemeth out for season after getting cut by RJ Umberger's skate Saturday night. That looked scary, but I didn't expect him to be out that long. Hopefully he can recover fully and it won't impact him over the long haul - Jsaquella
Scary injury for sure. It's a big opportunity for Jamie Oleksiak. If he can't grab a job and run with it, the Stars already questionable blueline is in big trouble. I like Jyrki Jokipakka (whom they called up today) but they really need some size and physicality back there.

What's the word on Dupuis? I saw him go off on a stretcher last week. Looked scary. How long is he out? - PLindbergh31

...in Buffalo. They've been a train wreck for a few seasons. Hard to improve in Love Canal. - section32
So it's a total crapshoot of how he'd be here. Like Bogo, lots of "potential" with little to no return yet. |

Then they must be interested in trading for Grossmann. He has size and physicality, and they're familiar with how good he is. |

Wow. I thought he was in bad shape. That's good. I never want to see any player injured. |

Point is, you're trading a promising young player and picks/prospects for a guy who had his game plummet year after year (and I'm not just talking stats, I'm talking his on-ice play overall). |

Jim Jackson/Steve Coates, for Steigy and Errey. I wonder who gets the short end of the stick in such a deal. |

hmm. Coates is literally painful.
Jackson I actually enjoy as an announcer, except for his ridiculous homerism.
Steigy and Errey, they also suffer from blatant homerism, and also from the fact that they just arent very good.
So, tough call. |
