If you're a team that's good enough for the playoffs why would you get rid of a guy with the nickname "Mr Clutch"? |

I was hoping the Avs would target Martin if they keep on spinning down the drain. At least he can help make a ass to help the avs break out of their own zone
Would you guys be interestd in getting Talbot back and another piece? |

I wouldnt make that trade. Regardless of Martin being a rental, he will still net a better return than just Williams. Hell, I belive Gill and Murray cost us 2 second rounders. A pmd like Martin that can play 25 min a night would fetch an even greater return than just a couple 2nd rd picks. |

Lets trade the Conn Smythe winner for Martin and his huge cap hit, sounds like a brilliant idea! |

They wasted all their picks on getting brad stuart, gross, if they move any 2015 picks they are crazy. |

If you word like this "We have traded an area of strength to improve an area of weakness" then it does sound brilliant. And 5 mill for a true 25 minute per night puck moving defender is not huge. |

No. Top six would be the return the Pens are looking for. |

How does the cap hit of a player suspended indefinitely for an off the ice incident affect a team. Do they get any relief?? |

figured so, but dont want to give up McGinn for a dman yet (or a pending over 30 UFA dman), I think he would be good on the Pens, just hes one of the better Top 9 Wingers thats not one of the Core guys. |

Not sure, Williams is 33 and a rental. Not really interested in another mid 30's guy in the top 6 so re signing him would be out. I'd look younger if I were the Pens and someone with potential to stick around. |

Pittsburgh fans love to re live the past, but that was 5+ yrs ago with Talbot he really brings nothing that our bottom 6 doesn't already. Keeping the "gang" together got the last regime fired anyway. |

Martin is 33 and a rental. Williams for Martin would be just that, a rental for a rental. Plus, Williams brings being a great playoff performer to a team that has struggled in the playoffs. He would be a huge addition to the top 6 this season. |

Yah that is the big thing with the Martin deal. Few player for player trades match up well without one side having to give up much more than they bargained for. I could see Pittsburgh throwing in a D-prospect to sweeten the deal on bringing back better top six talent. Dumoulin and Samuelsson come to mind.
McGinn is a sneaky trade guy too. I wouldn't mind him at all. His cap hit isn't too bad, you would hope he can build on last season's production as well. |

One of Forbort, Gravel, Bodnarchuk, or Ebert will be called up to take Voynov's spot.
Williams will be re-signed or allowed to walk UNLESS the Kings are out of the playoff hunt completely. We'll know that by the trade deadline.
Williams isn't being dealt anytime soon. |

He would be the new Dupuis. Not a true Top 6 guy but when playing with a talented Center, he can hold his own and chip in more than just occasionally. |

What if it's announced that Voynov is suspended for the season(long shot, but you never know with all the media attention surrounding domestic violence). You wouldn't consider trading Williams for a top pairing defenseman who logs 25+minutes a night? Seems like it would be a pretty good hockey trade. |

ROR only goes for a Dman who is about to enter the prime of their career, the Top 4 25 year old range. NO way the move him for anything less as he is of the same value. You will get 8-10 years of prime production out of him before he starts hitting that age of decline. |
