on offense they have a QB, on D they have LB's and an ageless wonder in woodson, that's about it. that's what you get with years of bad drafting and terrible contracts that needed purging.

kinda like flyers not drafting and developing any D-men and NTC

Losing Timonen was the real killer. They just weren't equipped to replace him. He was their best defenseman last year

yeah. he was definitely slowing down and losing it, but he still provided many things that no one on this team really could. it was a rough unit last year, but sans him, it shows. del zotto doesnt bring the mental acumen.

it is a shame for timonen. crappy way to go out for such a classy guy, but at least he caught it and didnt have any life threatening moments.

yeah he's legit. even with no o-line, running game, TE, or WR's that don't drop every other pass he looks good. great arm, steps up into pocket with pressure, and usually makes the smart play

It sucks that he couldn't go out on his own terms. I'm not sure I'd want him to be a part of this mess.

I just get the feeling this will be a long year. The Flyers rough start last season had more to do with the teams inability to score and Giroux playing poorly and having bad luck. They weren't awful defensively to start last season.

This season, they can't defend anyone. Coburn isn't going to come in and remedy these major issues by himself.

Thats good. Getting a QB is half the battle. Can't believe they let their LT from last season walk when they had all that cap space.
