the Flyers played like they knew they were going to lose from the opening puck drop.
they lacked effort on a lot of shifts ... execution on most shifts ... and emotion on every shift. |

Get wins against the teams you should beat, try to squeak out some against those that are tougher than you.
But what happens when become one of the bottom feeders?
I'm trying to be patient but this could be a year in Flyer's hockey like no other. And not in a good way. |

Men against boys
Could have easily have been 7 or 8-0
It's not just the D, that is obviously the biggest problem
They are slow and fundamentally bad up and down the line up
This team as currently constructed is not even a fringe playoff team |

I think the Flyers 4 pack should be changed.
4 tickets
4 hits of acid
4 hookers to slap around to take your anger out on |

Thats good. Getting a QB is half the battle. Can't believe they let their LT from last season walk when they had all that cap space. - PhillySportsGuy
yeah, veldheer. he had to want out, its only thing that really explains it. but who knows. everyone wants the GM reggie McKenzie fired already. they all think you draft 53 starters in 2 years and FA is nothing but yound great players ready to sign for peanuts. |

I feel like the score wasn't even indicative of how much the Hawks dominated. |

Offensive and defensive line are the next most important positions after QB. Look at the Eagles. They lost their OLine and began to struggle. They will get those guys back soon and I bet the running game will take off again. Cowboys have a monster OLine and thats why they're so improved. |

They are in another league.
Raffl takes a lot of heat but he and Jake at least had some decent chances.
Mason looks shell shocked and who could blame him. |

i could care less if you make pens jabs. i realize im on a flyers board and ribbing is what its all about.
but as far as an answer goes, it was pretty lackluster. perhaps you could be more specific? aside from some irrelevant crosby reference, you say you know just by watching?
even though im sure you are a pro scout who just moonlights on here in your spare time, what exactly is it you see that says he has no offensive potential?
believe me, i would love for him to suck. but one way or the other, how can you say he has failed on something that he really hasnt been given the opportunity to even try at? |

oh really bro you're a pro scout too that thinks he has offensive talent? cooter could have a wide open net and he'd hit the post or worse |

The best thing to do is ignore him when he talks hockey and giggle at him when football is on. |

nope. but thats the thing. i dont claim to know.
maybe if they said alright cooter. heres jake on one wing and simmer on the other. youre second line center. laughtons up to play those hard minutes against guys like stamkos and ovechkin. we want you to score. GASP here are more offensive than defensive zone starts.
and if that happens and over a decent stretch, he still looks out of place and cant do it. then you say well hey you tried kid but you just dont have it. you can go back to centering a shut down line because thats basically what you are. |
