Saturday morning was rough for me. I was out late, then had to get up early for the Breast Cancer walk. I didn't regret staying out, but I did regret that I signed up to do something early in the morning on my day off.

Saturday night I went out with my mom for her birthday.

It was 2 when I got home Friday night and closer to 3 by the time I got to bed. Had to be up by 8 Saturday morning.

The Detroit Red Wings have continued their pursuit of Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers, but the asking price remains fairly high, in their eyes.
The Sabres originally asked for Wings top prospect Anthony Mantha to be part of a package for Myers, but were turned down.

TFP has learned the Sabres have now asked for center Dylan Larkin to be included in a deal for Myers, but have received hesitation from Detroit.
Larkin was drafted 15th overall by the Red Wings in this past June's NHL Draft.

The Red Wings have been shopping defenseman Jakub Kindl, while blueliner Brendan Smith may also be in play, in an attempt to bolster their defensive corps.

Myers has been a target of Wings GM Ken Holland dating back to last season. The Sabres are supposedly also interested in Wings youngsters Tomas Jurco and Riley Sheahan.

Trade talks between the two clubs are still believed to be ongoing.

I don't give much credence to TFP but I do believe Myers has one foot out the door based on Bob MacKenzie's rumors. I'm not that familiar with Jurco and Sheahan's game/potential.

I don't know what the package will be but I think he will be dealt. His name has been out there too long and TM hasn't come out and said anything to try to squash the strong trade talk/ rumors. I bet he'll be gone sometime before the deadline.

After the draft he said he wouldn't have moved him for the 10th pick let alone the 24th pick, when it was rumored Vancouver offered that pick to the Sabres for Myers.

Unless it's for a great prospect like Mantha + I don't see anyway he's moved.

We have too many good prospects to begin with. We need bonafide top 6 talent

Brendan Smith + Mantha is tempting.

Without Myers, we have no proven top 4 defensemen.

Risto and McCabe look good so far, but they aren't sure things today

Totlly agree. Meyers is finally getting a chance to play his position "his way" again after a few years of Ruff and a little Rolston. I think he's going to look better as the year goes on while playing on a terrible team.
The areas this team needs to address is top 6 forwards or possibly a goalie that are playing now. Not may be some day if he pans out.

I don't look to advanced stats to tell whether a player is good or not, but it's clear he is far and away the best on this team right now. His numbers despite this team are pretty good
