See how Kulemin is getting pucks out of the corners and making space for JT and KO? This is why you call up Lee and play him on the top line. Better hands than Kulemin and same results along the boards and in front of the net. Conacher isn't working out. - Isles_since_6
What it comes down to is when you play defense like that it diesnt matter who is in the line up. I want lee up like the rest of the world but lee doesnt change the out come of that game. Its an overall team negative which leads to one person. We could have weber, Keith, and Doughty on our blue line and with our defensive system it would still be a mess. |

You want to give them the benefit of the doubt but when common sense is telling you something is not right whether it be line combos or otherwise it seems common sense will prevail over capuano every time. - Cptmjl
It will not be long before we are accused of panicking. It's just we have seen these same issues before with the lousy systems and line combo's and even a 4-2 start cannot hide the bad signs. |

Stop jumping off the cliff. If the coach wants to try clutterbuck on the second line why not? Why are you overreacting? Get ready for it. |

All Lee has done is go into the corners and go to the front of the net and score goals in his time in the NHL. What has McDonald done? - ses111
To think they kept a slightly above average player in Conacher over Lee is mind boggling as well |

Awesome. The rangers and devs had a overtime game with the rangers winning. You know I was being sarcastic |

Jack capuano is worried about his defensive game - Cptmjl
Jack is always worried about D. Just because he does not want to talk about the PK any longer. The guy cares so much about D. He has tweaked his system did he not? |

They fall back to 500 and we've wasted a great start. Boston and Dallas will be tough. This game was there and we handed it away. |

I'm sick to my stomach. As excited as we all got after 4 games looks like we watching last years isles again last 2 games.
Cappy has to go. What is the excuse now? You got a full roster.
I got it, let's fall behind 5-2 in second and I'll use Colin MacDonald to save the day.

What? He lays a dirty hit and Polak (who isn't a dirty player..) stands up for his team mate, where's the problem with that? - Conquest
I see we'll ignore the hack on the faceoff that sent Clutterbuck down and the high hit on Conacher. |

Clutterbuck got what was coming to him. I didn't see specifically what it was done to him, but I hope it was a spear in the nads. He took a few too many runs tonight and tried to take out Lupul's knee only to turtle when challenged.
Conacher's hit wasn't high, but the headshot on Clarkson should draw a fine from the league at the very least. |

I'd ask why Lee isn't on the roster but with this organization, I already know the answer. "Let's take this guy who has 10 goals and a bunch of assists in like 20 professional NHL games and he's a big dude too, and let's bring in Cory Conacher and Jack Skille to compete with him. Great idea."
I won't even get into the fact he's already scoring goals at Bridgeport, not complaining about it and, oh yeah, has Colin (frank)ing McDonald taking his roster spot NOW.
I'm not even kidding, if we're at .500 after Saturday, Crappy should be gonzo. Done. Finite. He gives so much ice time to guys like McDonald and Martin it really makes your head hurt. And....call a (frank)ing timeout! After it was 4-2, you have to, right? Even though the game was probably over, when you get a PP with about 5 minutes left, take the timeout then, leave the Tavares line out there, pull your goalie and try to get back into the game. |

Isles have been waiting for young talent like Strome and Lee and they end up bringing in more guys like Regin and PMB to get in their way. You keep waiting for the Isles to make the right roster decisions and for Cappy to play the right systems and it never seems to happen. Would really be nice to not have to worry about the coach. |

Strome had 11 mins of ice time last night. So did Colin MacDonald. What wrong here?
Horrible night for hamonic and hickey. Both -3
Looks like conacher has gotten comfortable. Time to remind him of he doesn't produce he gone. Bring up lee and put him on top line. |

the more things change.............................the more they stay the same. piss poor coaching and line matching.....and awefull roster decisions....along with horrific goaltending. As much as it hurts to admit it, thats the Islander way. Our coach is a waste of oxygen and as soon as new ownership ditches him and snow, we will round the corner. - islesrbettr
Yeah, thus far the goalie has also been underwhelming. Stays way too far back in his crease, like Nilsson, which is why he has to try (unsuccessfully, so far) to use his blocker like a baseball bat. |
