I'd rather it be when he's playing at a level where he's handling both sides of the AHL relatively well. That is not the case at this moment, and I'd hate to think how much worse it would be at the NHL level. There is no date or number of games that are appropriate, it's all of his development.

I thought the refs absolutely screwed us last night. The first goal was goaltender interference, the penalty leading to the second was a joke and it was a nice interception by the ref to set up the 3 on 2 that netted their third goal. Sure, they outplayed us, but not to the tune of 4-0. It's impossible to beat that team and the refs. The fix was in last night in Chicago.

There really was no momentum to carry over as the defense was just as bad against Dallas. The only difference was that the Dallas defense played almost as bad and the Flyers were able to outscore them. They weren't going to put 6 goals up against Chicago.

There were no positives on the defensive side of the ice in either of the last 2 games.

One move I wish they had explored more in the offseason was Nick Leddy. He went for prospects and while he will probably never be a top pairing defenseman he would be, imo, the 3rd best defenseman on the Flyers at the age of 23 and capable of playing in all situations.

He's playing extremely well in the first two games in the AHL on both ends of the rink. Apparently in the third game he had a bad play. Didn't see it. Was pretty horrendous I hear. I think Zepp is dead. Haven't confirmed it yet.

Aube-Kubel looked good in the preseason against mostly AHL/ECHL players.

Why is he rotting away in juniors?

Sanheim could one day be Ryan McDonagh, why don't we have him here to shut down Sidney Crosby tonight?

How many people on here would complain if Holmgren was GM and brought up Gostisbiere at this time? Who would say he is panicking and not letting our prospect develop correctly?

I liked homer so I would not be complaining. Bring up alt, lauridsen, and manning first... Maybe get Gus back. Send Luke, Grossmann, and any other dman on this team away for picks. This D has been so bad for so long I'd rather sign more Shultz's or play the young guys and have the cap space back.

I'd just like to be entertained while watching the games. There's no entertainment in this mess. Our only rookie can't get off the bench and all our prospects are in the minors and the current team sucks.

That's 6, not 3.

The point is, just because these guys have a strong preseason or are having nice junior/AHL seasons does not mean they're ready to be thrown into the NHL.

Like someone said, if this season is toast anyway (unless you think Ghost and Laughton make them a contender), what's the harm in them playing top minutes and seeing all different man-power situations in the AHL? How does it hurt their growth?

My thing is so many people want Hextall to develop our prospects properly and now 6 games in we want to change course and rush someone up. All offseason people were happy hextall placed and emphasis on developments and drafts and now people say (frank) it. I think Hextall knew this woube a tgh season and even said before it would take a step back before moving forward.
