Pretty much a genius move from an agent's standpoint. Pad your stats with Sid and Malkin for a year and then cash in to the highest bidder.

i agree on both points, but they were just the first two names off of my head.

guys like weber, doughty, pietrangelo, arent coming. nor is pronger. but i dont think it exactly needs to be for you guys.

one or two guys from that next tier would make an absolutely world of difference.

- stayinthefnnet

Somehow i have a feeling that our pick last year Sanheim, will be a top tier guy.

Fremont streets a blast too! Love the single deck, $2 blackjack tables; you can put down $100 and pretty much play all night!
- BiggE

We've stayed at the Golden Nugget every year for the last five years and it really is the best. Fremont street just rules so much. I have 0 interest in staying on the strip.

i know he has his buyout money. but he signed for such a short term for such peanuts. i see him putting up his points in the high 40s and then getting a nice big deal from someone else. id love the pens to resign him to a reasonable term. could make martin expendable long term, who is rumored to want to test the market anyway.

They've always played pretty well together.

Being able to pass the puck out of trouble and keep hold of the puck in the offensive zone is more important than having a supposed hard man on a pairing. You think other team's forwards are scared of going against Grossmann right now? Kane sure wasn't last night.

- Feanor

Sadly, I think opposing forwards are laughing at ALL our defensemen right now

I agree. Though I don't think he'll ever be a flashy name in the league. Just quietly gets the job done. I guess just like McDonagh.

I agree. I think he will be too. I think he'll end up being a safe top pair defenseman. Maybe not "the number one guy" like Drew Doughty or Subban, but good enough to anchor a top pair someday

yeah thats exactly how i see it. and after struggling in buffalo, hell get the chance for a playoff run to improve his stock even more.

he is still young enough to get another 5 or 6 year deal from someone at premium dollar

AMac-Streit would be one of the softest pairings in the league. Forwards would be begging their coaches to go against them!

I'm thinking about being MacDonald for Halloween.

nothing wrong with that. allow ghost to provide the spark. thats how you can do it without having that weber type. guys that excel and blend together well.

im hoping harrington and pouliot become that.

Carle is fine now that he's a member of the Lightning. With Hedman out he's gonna get eaten up.

So when you go to the door trick or treating, as soon as it opens you'll backpedal down the driveway and give up the front porch too easily?
