I don't think they are worse than Buffalo, Edmonton or Carolina to be honest. Bottom 10 is a possibility.

I'm sure it had some effect on MDZ, Sbisa, Schenn, etc. but I, personally, think that the "rushing" effect is widely overstated and given too great of emphasis.

i bet a lot of scouts have their "coulda, shoulda" stories about various plyrs who never panned out. sometimes people forget that these are very young men w/ varying levels of maturity personally, not just professionally. there's a dynamic that's hard to quantify, so forensics on any given situation need to go beyond just talent translating at higher levels. it's a good discussion, but i think it is better to err on the side of patience and more development.

I've debated about getting tickets for the dec 21 game when the Flyers come to town. Generally haven't had great outings for the boys in orange out here.

I agree. Some guys can't handle the pressures of the NHL, others don't have the talent in the end. Whatever the reason, it's safer to nurture a player than to throw him to the wolves because the NHL team is struggling. That's not a place to learn and grow.

Morin is going to hard to keep off the team next October. He played well in all his preseason games.

he looked pretty good vs 1/3 of an NHL team most of the time in exhibition games. i am encouraged by the improvement in his game though and i hope you're right that he'll be ready nxt yr.
