MDZ has almost no value at all right now. All you need to do is remember when he was taken in free agency and for how much, and add in how poorly he has played so far.

Grossman is a shadow of the player he once was, and he was never a Norris candidate.

They're likely to end up between the 10th-17th picks, in terms of record, when it comes to the draft.

They will likely rebound, make a run and be in the hunt for the playoffs. Might even sneak in with one of the Wild Cards.

I've felt this way since the start of the off season. And I get ripped for being negative.

Of course that ripping is from the same guy who says they're a playoff team with a "middle third" defense...which he also says has one guy capable of handling a primarily defensive role because the defense isn't good enough to cover for the other lines.

I would doubt if Hextall is inclined to sell low this early in the year, and he would be selling low if BSchenn was to be moved soon, unless the player in a problem in the room.

I figure some team will want to bolster defense at the deadline and give us something in the top four rounds for Grossmann and MDZ. Amac is a bit of a wildcard with his contract.

If there's a team that could use a decent guy for their 2nd PP unit or just a third pair guy who can create some offense they might have interest in MDZ. His deal is tiny, it expires this summer and he's shown he's capable in a certain role.

I don't think they're a playoff team, myself, but they could sneak in. They're not as bad as they were against Chicago, and they have been competitive against some good teams.

Giroux will get hot at some point, and carry them to some wins and they'll make some noise. They're not Buffalo or Carolina.

Yeah, we should -- why is it that almost every other team does it differently with their top 10 centers?

Steven Stamkos might not have started on the first line or the second line. But how long did it take for him to get on one of those two lines, when he made the NHL? Did he play as a checker for his first four seasons?

How long did it take Vincent Lecavalier to center a top line? Did he move to the wing, then back to center, then wing, then center, then wing?

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Jonathan Toews. Anze Kopitar. Nicklas Backstrom.

How is it all those Top 12 centers miraculously find their way to centering a scoring line without being checkers and wingers, but the Flyers' guys just can't seem to find their way without it?
