carkner needs to go as soon as he's off IR. I'd keep strait over him, that's how badly I want carkner gone. - Isles_since_6
Both Carkner & Strait need to go. Hickey & Donovan need to be the 6/7/8 D on this team and rather have 1 kid of either Reinhart/Pulock/Mayfield be the 5/6 Dman on this team.
Viznosky will only get injured as soon as he's plays a minute into game |

Now play him with JT and KO, and play Kulemin with Nelson and Strome, move Bailey back to the right wing and put Conacher on the third line with him and Nielson until Grabovski comes back. Clutterbuck goes back to the fourth line.
scratch conacher when Grabovski is back and ready to go and then put Kulemin back on the third line and Grabovski back with Nelson and Strome.
Fixed. - Isles_since_6

Donovan still has room to grow as a player, Strait's at his ceiling and it's not good. Waive Strait. - Isles_since_6
Totally agree with this...problem is Donovan ain't growing in the press box. That kid needs some ice time somehow. |

Which is why I thought he should have played last night instead of Strait if Viz was not activated. |

He'll get it. It just won't be with the Islanders. Not even sure if there is a spot for him in BP |

I don't know where to stand on Donovan. I haven't given up on him yet, as I think he's played generally well in Bridgeport. But he hasn't shown a ton at the NHL level so right now he's kind of in limbo. My hope is that they work out a deal for him, maybe get a pick for this years draft...but with the depth of the '15 draft I'm not particularly hopeful that it's going to be a very valuable one. I don't know if he's worth an NHL player. Maybe one that is overpaid from a cap-strapped team, but even that might be a stretch. |

Then get rid of Donovan... either give him a shot or wave the kid. |

My buddy lives in Toronto and had been telling me before the game that the Leafs scouting report was to shoot blocker side on Halak. I laughed it off until the game started. Man I find it disturbing that all the goals went in on that side, and when you look back at where he was beat in previous games.......most were to the same side. I hope the goalie coach helps him to adjust because its too easy right now for the shooters. |

I'm one of the guys who thinks Donovan can be an NHL defenseman but I can't disagree with you here. He's not ready and he's not in the picture at all at the moment. Badly handled and hasn't looked good in any opportunities since he was paired with Dehaan. He just looks bad. |

They'll be lucky to get a 4th for him unless he is a throw in in a bigger deal |

He loses his angles often or he's cheating glove side, he needs to fix that and I don't know if Dunham is capable of helping him. |
