yeah. he was 2 year contract. which makes me wonder if it's up this year. It was time for Darcy to go, but I think he might have generally been on the same path we are on now any way. He seemed to be looking out for grittier players rather than europeans with exemplary handwriting skills and good fashion sense.

We were in desperate need of a center when we traded for him. But he sure isn't much of a center, is he? Darcy really had a problem with bringing quality players to this team. He's not bad, he just wouldn't be a top line guy on most teams.

It should have only taken Darcy about 2-3 years to figure out that the Vanek/Pom/Roy core wasn't going to get it done for us. Rather than just continue to bring in lame a$$ free agents at the dedline to get us nowhere.
