He was making a point that tokarski would be a minor piece in getting ebs. - Oilfan19
Well, maybe if you get Beaulieu and Tokarski. Probably not enough. Oilers would need a top defenseman coming back. |

Ah yes, that glistening .862 sv% for Scribbles and .870 sv% for Fasth.
In Tokarski's one start, he stopped 29 of 30 shots. Idk if he has had a single bad game in the NHL. Meanwhile, Edmonton's goalies are both poor back ups on most teams. I understand why people are doing this:

there's so much dumb in this post, I have a hard time believing it
Nygren is nothing. Tokarski is not better than Scrivens/Fasth. Hudon and a late first is nothing!!!
EDM didn't draft Dansk!!! - TheNugeIsHuge
Yea my bad for some reason I was thinking he was drafted by them but I was thinking of bunz I dont know why I was thinking dansk |

HAHAHA . Have you seen Galchenyuk play. Bergevin is one of the smartest GM in the league, no way he trades Galchenyuk or Pacioretty. Galchenyuk is having a breakout season and Pacioretty is a 35 goal scorer at only 4.5M per year.
If Eberle is traded to Montreal, it's either Eller, Tinordi, Beaulieu or Tokarski going the other way. Not Galchenyuk lollll - CMPunkSES
and where 'dumb' comes back into play...
why would EDM trade a 1RW for LHD prospects(when they have Nurse, klefbom, marincin), or a 3C, or an unproven backup goalie? what are they putting in the koolaid over there...err poutine |

I don't think you understand my friend. Tokarski has 5 regular season games in the last 2 seasons. Just because you've seen him good 5 times does not make him a really valuable commodity - TheNugeIsHuge
Dat playoff tho. |

you're making this too easy on a guy.
how much you invest in literally one game for Tokarski and a rocky first 5 for Edmonton is laughable. You've proven your worth ya pea soup. You know nothing |

and I'm saying, in reply to the other guy, that you aren't adding value to MTL's side of the trade by swapping Tokarski and Fasth. EDM is losing more value and the only players (non-subban) that could make up that value and help EDM would be Galchenyuk or Pacioretty - TheNugeIsHuge
I don't think a trade could be worked out that would be good for both teams. You guys need an nhl center and an nhl d. You can have Eller if you want him (probably don't) and the only D the habs could spare would be Young guys which doesn't help you guys right now. |

Future of the habs :
Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Subban and Price
They are not going anywere that's for sure |

Beaulieu is/will be a top defenceman. He just may not be what Edmonton is looking for. |

exactly. Can't trade Eberle for a 3C and D prospects are useless because EDM's system is stacked there.
not good trading partners |

I'm not saying Eller, Beaulieu, Tinordi or Tokarski for Eberle is a good trade. All I'm saying is that I can not see any other players than them going the other way if the rumor is true.
Bergevin will keep Galchenyuk and Pacc.
And MacTavish won't trade Eberle for Eller, Tinordi, Beaulieu or Tokarski either! |

It might be for a center so galchenyuk can move back, you Montreal fans think that it would be a possibility to give of plekanic? |

I hope not, if they trade Plekanec they might as well join the McDavid race because they aren't getting far without him this year. |

Lol, now that the Oilers are starting a "good streak" of consistent play, watch all of these trade talks disperse.....
3-2 Win by Oilers tonight!
Great Defense and Goaltending tonight! |

Oh yes, I completely forgot Scribbles is an all star, and has proven so in recent years. Other than his one year behind an LA Kings shut down team, he's never had a year over a .917 sv%.
Scribbles has proven he is garbage. Tokarski has shown nothing so far to suggest he is anything near garbage. I think I would take a slightly unknown over a pile of poop, wouldn't you? |

There has been rumors for quite a while.. Since his arrival, Pleky never had stability on his line . Now playing with Pleky and Gally, we now realize how important he is to this club..
Plekanec might go, but i certainly hope not. |

I would do it, but not the Oilers's gm. He's 31 and a UFA in 2016. He is not bad but he is far from elite. |

If our top pairing was McDonagh and Subban we would have crushed the NYR's last year and probably wouldn't want to trade him lol |
