Montreal is 6 -1, if MB is talking to Edmonton at all it's probably either to unload Moen or Bourque or upgrade the third line which has been horrible so far.... |

Oh yes, I completely forgot Scribbles is an all star, and has proven so in recent years. Other than his one year behind an LA Kings shut down team, he's never had a year over a .917 sv%.
Scribbles has proven he is garbage. Tokarski has shown nothing so far to suggest he is anything near garbage. I think I would take a slightly unknown over a pile of poop, wouldn't you? - McGallagher

EDM should be pretty happy with their F depth. 4th line has been really good. Only move I think they should be doing is sending a mid pick out for a guy like Brodziak or Cullen so they can send Draisaitl down |

He's been a left winger with them all this season and a fair chunk of the last two. |

I don't consider Bogosian, Cohburn, Phaneuf, Edler or Yandle Studs either. |

I think number one priority is getting a serviceable Centre in so Drai can move back to Jr.
We probably need to clear a little cap before thinking about a move on Defense. |

Comparing Price to Scribbles... one who carried his team to Olympic Gold, finished 4th in Vezina votes last year and has 2 seasons over .925 sv% to a career back up until he landed in the sh*t show that is Edmonton.
Screw you guys, I'm going home. Between the commenters on this site and EK, I've had more than my daily dose of dumb. - McGallagher
tokarski+ for eberle.
and you're calling others dumb.

His career .914 is better then price this year?? Does this mean Price is garbage? Price has a career .917 which is .003 better.. - Oilfan19
Theres a couple of factors playing into those stats.. Scrivens has never played more then 30 games or faced more then 800 shots in a season. Price has never played less then 40 games and has only faced less then 1000 shots once. Is scrivens garbbage no just never given the opportunityto start is he same league as price..probly not. Theres just a demeanor aboit price that calms his dman down. Prices is calm cool and collected never gets fazed and thats also his down fall cuz he gets beat alot by deflections instead of blocking with his body he tries to glove save andgets burned alot. |

Dont get me wrong, I consider Price to be one of the top 3 goalies in the league. I would ship the farm for him. I just used stats to prove the guy was snorting something. Scrivens is not garbage, a few rough nights this year but hes getting it sorted out |

Is he a top 6 player as of now? Or at least long term?
Unless mtl give up on Beaulieu, not sure they would make that trade. They will/should hold on to Tinordi. |

no one's arguing scrivens is in price's league. hes not. dude is probably the best goalie in the world.
but the logic and understating scrivens worth has also gotten silly.
he's was solid for us last year. had a couple weak games early this year, and now a couple of very strong games. he's not our long term solution by any means. but its adequate for now |

It'll be interesting to watch Vancouver while they still have a solid top 4. I don't think they're going to hit rock bottom like everyone expects them to.
Maybe more like become a team like Phoenix that plays boring, effective hockey. |

don't know enough about him. heard the hype tho.
and its not like im not interested in tokarski either.
but not as the main piece in a deal for eberle.
tokarski is the sweetener after someone.
I dunno, juts not sure there's a deal to be made.
u don't wanna get rid of the pieces that are huge to u guys winning right now. we don't want/need the guys that u would be willing to move as they wouldn't change our fortunes much at present. and that would be the whole point in us making a move right now.
(the beaulieu's, tokarksis etc just aren't what we need.
even plekanec or eller. a guy that's gonna take draisaitl's place for now, but be on the 3rd by next year. and that's not even taking into account that neither of those guys alone make us better than we are with Jordan eberle most likely. and again; not willing to lose value in player coming in for the sake of prospect/pick value. |
