It'll be interesting to watch Vancouver while they still have a solid top 4. I don't think they're going to hit rock bottom like everyone expects them to.

Maybe more like become a team like Phoenix that plays boring, effective hockey.

- Morris

I think they're the 4th best team in the pacific. 8th or 9th in the west, I'm thinking

I think I wanted them to be bad and expected them to have a terrible offense but

A) I underestimated the quality of their D
B) I underestimated how much offense the Sedins can provide all on their own

don't know enough about him. heard the hype tho.

and its not like im not interested in tokarski either.
but not as the main piece in a deal for eberle.

tokarski is the sweetener after someone.

I dunno, juts not sure there's a deal to be made.

u don't wanna get rid of the pieces that are huge to u guys winning right now. we don't want/need the guys that u would be willing to move as they wouldn't change our fortunes much at present. and that would be the whole point in us making a move right now.
(the beaulieu's, tokarksis etc just aren't what we need.
even plekanec or eller. a guy that's gonna take draisaitl's place for now, but be on the 3rd by next year. and that's not even taking into account that neither of those guys alone make us better than we are with Jordan eberle most likely. and again; not willing to lose value in player coming in for the sake of prospect/pick value.

I was just fooling around. Don't know all that much about Fucale either. Oilers can't make a gamble if they trade one of their top players.

Maybe they could wait at the draft and trade their 1st round pick for a young defenseman? Or take the pick if there is a top defenseman that can make an impact right away.

ive been pumping that teams tires for ages.

ive got zero love for them. like not an ounce.
but the sedins are magical with the puck and their defence is so solid.

a forward here or there and their right back in the mix. certainly not bottom feeders by any stretch. last year everything that coulda went wrong. did

id gamble moving that first for sure. im not interested in picks any longer.

im far less likely to gamble on a proven asset like eberle.

I think they've got a lot of options as id bet klefbom and nurse both make the team next year

If you have any UFAS coming up they need to move them at the deadline and then maybe move the picks to get roster players.

Calgary did not trade Cammalleri last season and that was dumb.

Why would we want Jordan Eberle?

Unless you're going for a run at the cup and are planning to rent a player anyway.

Schultz is an rfa so hes still ours to figure out.

petry needs to be resigned asap.
but hes a tough nut to figure out.
is he worth the dollars he wants on any other team than ours? we're desperately short of quality dmen.

wonderful skater. lots of heavy lifting. but he still makes some retarded decisions.

im sure they'll have a guage of his willingness to resign, and act accordingly by the td

Any deal would have to involve Fucale coming back to the Oilers.

I'd even look at Boston for Subban.

I simply can't see them talking at all.....unless the Habs want Petry.

but it's an extremely reliable source!

don't worry. he said "more in the am". i'm sure he'll clear everything up for us then.

I'd rather the Subban on Montreal. Does Boston have a Fucale? This could come together nicely

Tokarski was acquired for Cedric Desjardins, and couldn't beat out Lindback for the lightning job at one point..... he isn't anyone's saviour.

It's possible Eberle could be dealt to Habs, and if he does, could very well be the most popular player amongst the fans if it happens, he is canadian born, won gold metals, and been a hero in international competitions..

I don't see Max, Gally, PK, or Price going anywhere.... but can see a package of Emelin or Tinordi, Gallagher, Fucale and and 2nd rd pick going to Edmonton For
Eberle, and a depth Dman...

Eberle for Brad Marchand + Malcolm Subban

Marchand is exactly the type of player the Oilers need. I just watched the Oilers "play" earlier... what a boring game. I'd hate to see them live.

Or, ... if you can't get the reasonable value for the asset, you still want to try and re-sign him, you keep trying to work it out with him until you have to let him go to Free agency, then you pick up a replacement player from the UFA market that has similar skills, is 4 - 5 years younger, and haven't lost anything.

I don't remember trying to make u believe anything.

I don't remember soliciting your thoughts in any way shape or form either.

The beauty here is since u find the oilers boring, u don't have to watch them. And in turn, no one has to read your inane and pointless troll attempts

I like how you completely ignored the proposal I suggested and got all huffy puffy because I said the game was boring. Do you believe that Marchand would be a great addition to the Oilers or not? It's not that hard.

It is a beautiful thing that I get that choice. Thank you for reminding me. Next time I get the chance to watch the Oilers I'll make sure to login here immediately when the game starts so I can remind you how horrible the team during the 60minutes of boring time.
