Agreed. I keep bringing this up, because I think its important to note his cap hit and term. Having a reliable defenceman at his rate all the way to 2020 is very valuable. We cant have an entire team of 22 year olds hit UFA status at the same time after spending years developing them. I have a feeling for the most part, TM is done collecting draft picks. It doesnt make any sense to have an entire team of players close in age. I assume thats why some of the vets hae signed have longer than desired contracts.
