I know...makes me hate the Legwand trade even more and I didn't think that would be possible. Waste of assets on a band aid when they could have used them on a long term fix. Not like the Wings didn't need top 4 right handed defenseman last year too.

The one thing that really annoys me about kindl is his inability to find shooting lanes....when he is on the PP or even not, it amazes me how many of hits shots get blocked...very very annoying

Kindl could really use a change of scenery at this point. Trade him to the Oilers for Eberle. You might need to include a 2nd, though.

Couple questions on the Wings PP.

1. Why the (frank) is Helm on the powerplay? His hands are like cement blocks despite his speed and determination.

2. Why not bring up Sproul, Ouellete, or another right handed defenseman that can actually hold the point instead of having four forwards?

Helm gets the puck back and allows more time in the offensive zone and then basically stands in front of the net.

They want to bring someone up (likely Ouelette who isn't right handed) but they can't move kindl. Their RH Dmen are close but not necessarily ready.

I would take eberle for kindl & 2nd

Yeah Helm on the powerplay is a little weird, you can see that he gives the puck to whoever he can basically as soon as he gets it all the time though and then heads to the front of the net. It's kind of funny in the news articles/blog posts you see about their lines for the day, they list the whole powerplay unit and then put (net front presence), likely because it just looks wrong haha.

In a nanosecond. Even the Kindl + Marchenko + 2nd 100%, Eberle is money

Glendenning is starting to grow on me. Didn't care much for him last season and he probably won't ever put up many points, but his combination of speed, hustle, determination and grit has been lacking on this team for a while. He's improved on faceoffs too which is a nice little bonus.

actualy the 4th line as a whole has been a very effective checking unit so far this year
