Give it up, Vrbata's the only guy on that line with hat-trick potential.

This is a tough game though, they played a physical team in St.Louis and now travel to play in Colorado. I'm not too optimistic, just hoping for another entertaining game. I believe in the stache.

The game according to hazard:

After the Stars had stunned Miller,
We headed up north
We blogged, and we worried,
Talked more, and so forth
But Burrows had scooped it,,
Higgins top shelfed a notch
As Allen closed off his ‘5 Hole’
(Note: just under his crotch)
And as we got rolling,
The rink needed repairs
So I clipped a few toenails,
and trimmed some nose hairs
But soon,
in the 1st,
I felt rather irked,
We were being out ref’d
While the Blues were outworked!
Let’s count the missed calls!
One, Two, then Three!
Is under those ref stripes,
Is a Pietrangelo 'T’?
And ‘too many men’?
Two minutes too late?
Is that how they call games-
In the Bar-B-Que state?
This whole game is suspect!
Conspiracy Fodder!
Like Horton and his bottle
Of ‘TD Ice’ water!
But alas, a few bad calls,
Made no difference a bit,
We played, killed penalties,
And we cycled, and hit,
Hank had his face washed,
Yeah, Nothing new.
Hmm, must be Backes.
Correct! Déjà vu!
And a quick stroke of genius
On Kassians part.
Don’t let the teeth fool you,
The man’s really quite smart!
In the midst of a bad change,
He nearly got caught,
On the bench he said 'Hello!',
To Hitchcock and Ott
Hope to see more, Van hockey that's gritty
As we take down McKinnon,
and the Mile High City.

WTF - Varlomov was on the LTIR yesterday (Yahoo) and now he's listed as D2D but I can't put him in the lineup for tonight

This whole hockey pool BS is rigged so Nucker can win

Well if you like the Shining, you should watch the documentary Room 237 (2012).

Makes you wonder about the story within the story and interpretations of messages within the film. I am not usually into documentaries, but worth the watch.

well IMO the stache did a great job of rolling the lines last night. It eventually paid off for the win and every player was in the double digits for TOI. That will help on back to back nights. These are some little things that go a long way in the coaching department. Kassian was the lowest TOI with 12+ minutes. 4 d-men over 20 with hammer at 22 leading the way.

So looking at those numbers our top line played only played about 14 minutes each give or take. That isnt a huge work load. Hopefully the new work ethic and line rolling will make for a good game tonight and have some fresh legs.

So far it has been teams with speed that have killed us. Colorado is slower then last year, but they still have McKinnon who's a rocket. I reckon the Canucks win, but McKinnon puts up some points.

Coffee, actually. I've found that alcohol and other things........don't agree with me. It's nice to remember on a daily basis where I've parked my car, and actually know the person I wake up next to.

No, I should! The other day, someone was noting something like 'true art comes from suffering'. Made me think I should write a real down-and-out Sylvia Plath type ode to the oilers fans, who know only anguish, and dashed hopes.

Might go something like this:

Our Hexall ice,
is but
a sea of frozen teardrops,
Can you skate, Yakupov?
between the cast off jerseys?
Of those who,
half naked in the stands,
Have ditched them,
And prefer to shiver?

LOL

The man is a Poet so he's probably a Beatnik, his drug of choice is probably coffee and cigs.

Edit: to late
