I bet the Sharks get a late goal and win 1-0 - PhillySportsGuy
Sharks have to fly to Anaheim after this game also |

They could have done thing before the serious change in personnel. The future is bright but no guarantees. - SuperSchennBros
This isn't a popular opinion, but going all-in on Pronger too soon with the original post-06 core was where it started to go wrong. Instead of a future 5-7 year window to win, Homer banked on Pronger pushing them over the top immediately. That group just wasn't ready yet, and they got caught with too many of their eggs in the Pronger basket. |

Those are fair points and I certainly am not trying to diminish Carter as a Flyer but I personally believe the upside on Voracek is higher along with being significantly younger. That doesn't even account for the Couturier part of the deal - opeth_pa
They were good trades.
Could you imagine the Richards deal if they had gotten Simmonds and one of LA's young mobile defenseman back?
Oh wait, they would have likely had gotten the wife abuser guy with their luck.
Never mind. |

Good goal scorer, but not a star. If you think he is, then we have a different definition of what a star is. - MJL
Would you consider Evander Kane, Tyler Seguin and Matt Duchene stars? |

Boston has all their eggs in the Chara basket. The Rangers have all their eggs in the Lundqvist basket. Acquiring Pronger was a fantastic move, and I'd be in favor of making it every time.

I think Seguin is headed in that direction. Would you have considered Scott Hartnell a star at any time in the past? How about Wayne Simmonds now? |

No Boyle. Their forward depth is pretty sick though. They'll still be one of the better teams in the west. Not sure they can win in the playoffs though. |

Whats weird is that the Wings have a struggling PP. They had a struggling PP last year in their first meeting with the Flyers and went off for 3 goals on the power play I think. |
