I would like to see us get faster. Henrik is already down playing speed as a factor. It was very noticeable against 2 faster teams in Tampa and Colorado and those two teams haven't found there stride yet.

Thats why I would like to see some younger players get a shot. Shinkaruk needs some work but Jensen can skate and shoot so can Bo. I would love to Virtanen come up after month or so in juniors just give him 5 games and see how he does. There are options within the system and I believe can some can contribute better than a few roster players are now. Let the so called leaders lead the team and bring some of these guys along. They need to be mentors and transition this team or in 2 years we will be Edmonton.

Even if they are still in the race-wild card and just making it, I don't think this team will get far in the playoffs. I support any trade of pending ufa's and such as long as we are getting picks and/or prospects back.

I wouldn't mind Richardson resigned if the $ makes sense and Dorsett too. Don't see Matthias or Hansen coming back next year.

Still hoping they make the playoffs especially if Horvat is in the lineup. Could be a great experience for him.

But as it sits right now we aren't going to make the playoffs unless a few sharp moves are made 'or' if maybe Jensen or Kassian 'shows up' to steal a second line spot and roll with it. I could totally see Jensen slotting in with Bonino if Burrows and Higgins get shuffled out.

Basically to make the wild card we need a top 4 D (right hand shot) that can slot in with Hamhuis-Bieksa-Edler and a 2nd line winger to compliment Bonino.

Without those two ingredients it's going to be be super tough then we may as well give the kids a shot. Sooner or later the kids need to start showing their stuff on this team.

Jensen worked well with Hank and Burr last year so I wonder if Bonino Burrows Jensen would offer a similar dynamic of playmaker, digger, shooter

You can't call up a player unless it is an emergency.

Calgary did it once with Baertshi, when they had 5 players called up already from he AHL.

That is something the youth lack. Patience, positioning and anticipating on the PK. Learning the PK at an NHL level loses hockey games. I think that is one of the main issues that WD uses as reasoning for not bring youth in.

I could see a team in the east taking a look at Hansen. I think his game could be a fit there. Maybe, if the Islanders are in a playoff spot come the TDL, Beninng can take Garth Snow to school in a trade.

If Pittsburgh wants to go far they will improve at the deadline. I think they are a playoff team as is but can really make a push if they want depth for a long playoff run.
