It actually goes to show that the fans know what the deal is. They know that there's 2 guys in this draft that could be generational/elite talents.

I watch every game in hopes that they win. But when they don't, I'm not disappointed. It is what it is.

I just wish that if we have to tolerate them being this bad, that there isn't a team that's even worse (see Carolina).

They hope. Even if you buy that they're close, them not playing in the same league and McDavid being in the CHL gives him an automatic edge, not necessarily for the ohl's competitiveness but because it's just a more popular league.

Eichel wanted to play in the OHL. The way the CHL rules are set up, he couldn't. He would have had to go on waivers and have all of the QMJHL teams pass him up, which wasn't going to happen. So he stuck with his college commitment instead.

Yea I remember reading about that, I'm not blaming him on his league choice or trying to diminishing his value, but this is the reality of the situation. McDavid will be on tv and viewed by scouts far more often than Eichel. So even if you believe he's as good or better, he's at a serious disadvantage.

Well that and the inevitable silver he'll be tasting in January (i kid)
