Contract dispute with his Russian team. All he can do is practice with the Sabres or go back to Russia.

But I thought once your in the ahl your contract counts he's getting paid...i could be wrong

I was so hoping (though I really didnt think it was going to happen) that he'd fall to #8 in that 2011 Draft.

I really didnt expect the Devils to bungle the development of a promising young D-man and yet it seems that that is exactly what they are in the process of doing.

Russian team that owns his rights will not OK another season in junior, so it's either Sabres or KHL

I just want to avoid a situation where Berube cuts his minutes because of struggles and he stagnates. I'd even consider Hagg. He's looked great for the Phantoms

Alt got dinged over the weekend. I think I'd rotate Ghost down and bring another guy up for a cup of coffee. He's shown flashes, but the areas he needs to do work in are very evident

I'd keep Ghost up for now. See how he adjusts his game to his mistakes.

By most accounts, he hasn't looked NHL ready in the preseason. He only played 1 regular season game thus far this season.

Could just rotate him with Mez as the 6th or, possibly, play 7 dmen. They played 7 D once and sat Reinhart.

Phx is a very ordinary team. They really need to stop delaying the inevitable and move Yandle for help up front.

By most accounts, he hasn't looked NHL ready in the preseason. He only played 1 regular season game thus far this season.

He'll come back, but he would have spent a very important year of his development playing on the bigger ice, and all that entails.
