I have seen the puck explode like that off a cross bar a couple of times, one of which was not shot very hard.
McKee is just fanning the flames of hype. McDavid is a good player but that is circus hype and nothing more. If MCKee has never seen that happen I am shocked. It happens especially when you play outside and in practices. I have only seen it in a game I was playing once.
I think there was an NHL goal scored with a broken puck. - BluemanGuruu
Yea, I was thinking the same. I know I've seen a couple pucks broken by highschool Freshmen... |

Lottery for McDavid? I thought Edmonton had a veto every 2 years to get the first overall... |

Like I said in the Leafs thread: I don't think the players are trying to lose. Its more that management has just not provided the team the adequate amount of skilled players to win any games. - twiztedmike
No player that is getting paid would be trying to lose on purpose. This would directly effect their next contract. You would have to have a person not want to capitalize on a golden opportunity to get paid to play hockey, something not very many in this world get to do. Management may not have set the team up very well, but they brought in good players in Moulson, Gorges, and Gionta who all want to win. Like you said, I doubt the players are trying to lose, for a variety of reasons, one mainly being getting paid on their next contract. |

Moulson is a pretty good player on most teams. Has it been bad luck or has he just been as bad as the rest of the forwards? I haven't seen him much yet aside from last night. - Jeffmt
neither have we, if you catch my drift |

Besides maybe Girgensons, Myers and maybe the goaltending everyone has been just awful.
Ennis is watchable.
I've been watching this team for 20+ years and I have never in my life hated 90% of the players on any Sabres team like I do now.

disinterested, like everyone not a goalie or named Gorges or Girgensons. Seriously, we look pathetic, no effort by anyone.
I'm honestly surprised the goalies go out there, they are constantly peppered with shots and have no defensive help at all. - mehetmet
Strange he usually plays his best hockey at some point in a contract season. But he played disinterested on a team that was at the top of the league most of last season. We Blues fan thought of him as the weak link on our team last year. He is a huge man but rarely ever threw a check. He is a powerless forward. |

There was a few of us that didn't want him anywhere near this team and were none to happy he ended up here. |
