I think Akeson got injured last night as well. - PLindbergh31
Wouldn't be surprised -- I thought I saw him take at least one huge hit and another nasty one on the boards

I remember him blocking a shot and hobbling off. I wasn't sure if it was an injury or just stung like hell. |

"Too small to play in the NHL."
I wonder what's gonna happen the first time Gaudreau takes a bit-time hit from a guy like Chara. He may actually disintegrate. |

All Umberger is doing is playing well as the third member of our shut down line. Last I looked, Couturier wasn't the only guy out there.
I know goal scoring has been a problem for this team so far, and Rocket Richard Hartnell would be a much better option....
But we have to be realistic.

Ghost was in a bit over his head. Still has a bright future. - PLindbergh31
I don't think the Manning recall precludes Ghost from playing. They probably want to take a 7th guy for the road trip, in case of injury or whatever. |

Grossmann has been solid for the most part. Schultz has been a pleasant surprise. Only question is can he maintain it? He was signed to be the 7th dman, can he really play 70+ games? - PLindbergh31
Grossmann has been playing like Grossmann always has. He's still made mistakes with the puck, which he always has but his puck handling isn't one of his strengths. For the most part his game has been good because he's always been a decent player. We're just noticing him more because of the winning streak, increased ice time in important situations and the loss in personnel. |

Hextall was asked about it last night, and declined comment. Probably means x-rays. Flyers are coordinating Stevie Wonder's availability to read them. |

He will eventually take one, but he's a pretty quick little skater. Gotta catch him to hit him |

I think Ghost has to be playing. But I think they may send him down and call up Lauridsen and choose one of Lauridsen/Manning as the 6D and rotate if needed. |

Perhaps. But with Berube sitting Ghost the last 6+ minutes of regulation, and the overtime, he's going to wear the other dmen down to a nub. Not sure he would trust Manning either in a close game. |

NFG just posted Manning was recalled. I believe Alt is injured unfortunately. - PLindbergh31
Yes that is why the Phantoms recalled Brett Fleming from Reading on Sunday |

That's what people said when the Flyers played the Soviets.
I agree, he's a little speedster out there, but at some point, he's gonna have a moment where he's not bearing down, and he'll get caught. |

I actually was surprised they didn't call up Manning when MacDonald went down.
He's got NHL experience, even if it's only 10 games. |

The funny thing is that if he was the one who got smoked, and I am pretty sure it was, it was because he was battling on the boards, trying to get a puck out
The kind of stuff that sometimes, he doesn't get credit for doing |

Yeah. I wouldn't mind that either. The Flyers need a guy who can contribute more as well. Spotting Ghost 10 minutes each night is going to force guys like MDZ to play 26 minutes. They need a guy who can handle 14-15 minutes each night. I think Manning or Alt or more equipped to do this. |

That was a brutal injury. So unnecessary. Those games were meaningless. Ironic KD pulled out of that tourney and ended up injured anyway.
How good is this Anthony Davis? Did you see his stat line last night? What a stud. Only question with him is can he stay healthy? |

Every player has that moment. Even the big guys ( Lindros).
He plays in the west, so he'll eventually get punched in the back of the head by Perry at some point. |
