It will probably look like a meatball if you don't get it checked out. |

Yeah. He played 6 minutes with Rinaldo, and VDV. The old round peg square hole Berube logic. - PLindbergh31
So where would you rather see him. Right now the top three lines are seemingly fitting well together. He either needs to make his game fit with the 4th line or he sits in the pressbox. We asked Rinaldo to change his game and take less penalites andup until last night he has done that and played pretty well in his minutes on the PK. Why can't Akeson do that? |

Akeson isn't really suited for a 4th line role. Especially if you are playing him with 4th line players that have no skill. |

Ok. But here is my feeling. I don't think Akeson has enough of PROS to outweigh his CONS. Even looking across the NHL I don;t see spots in the top 9 where i can say Akeson would be better. Also there are players in the AHL that are just as good or better. His chance to play in the NHL right now is to make the most of his minutes on the 4th line. If he has to focus more on simpler plays, being better in own end, playing more physicall then so be it. He has to adjust or his chance will be gone. Fair or not. All around the NHL you see guys getting their one chance on the 4th line. It is what they do in those limited minutes that determine if they stay or not. |

Apparently, Colie = dominoes. McBain to the King's AHL affiliate, Brookbank to KHL. |

If someone ever ate my hoagie, I would not be all joking around. You don't touch a man's hoagie. Might as well just spit his face while you're at it |

I don't see a need to move Bellemare from Line 2.
Stats since Vinny's injury in 7 games
PEB 2 pts +3
Simmonds 3 pts +5
B Schenn 5 pts +1
The second line is basically not allowing goals and still making a moderate contribution. I dont see a need to reinsert Vinny unless he proves otherwise |

PEB is not a top 6 forward. That line has looked pretty solid but it hasn't produced enough offense, IMO. Lecavalier may not be a great option either but he hasn't played enough games this year to really judge. |

I am one of those people. I don't even care what people think of me by saying that -- I recognize they have a role to play in the ecosystem, but if it was up to me, I'd absolutely take a (frank)ing shot at seeing if the world could survive without any one of those sons of female doges on the planet.

We do know enough about Vinny to say that he's nowhere near as good a skater, and he's nowhere near as effective two-ways in the middle... and he's not exactly a huge improvement in the ES point production dept anymore, either.

People said the same thing about Raffl. Some still do. Seems to working out thus far. |
