Is the CC signing a one-way or two-way contract? What happens when Coburn and A Mac return? The way I see it there are three options:
1. Waive CC and send him down to AHL
2. Carry CC as the 8th defenseman
3. Trade another defenseman
Figure A Mac, Coburn and Streit to be the most safe. Sure anyone of them can go. But contracts and value to the team would make them the least likely to be traded.
If MDZ starts to settle in, and plays even remotely like last night, he would have a ton of value to the team.
Schultz is perfect as a 7th defenseman, and has arguably played in the top-6 of late.
So does this mean either L Schenn or Grossmann gets traded? - TheGreat28
There is no argument about it. Shultz actually HAS played in the top 6. He has been out there on the ice and everything.

Based on the past, I'd say it's unlikely Carlo reaches 30 days without injury |

Shultz has been really good for the Flyers during these last few games IMO. |

Man, Vorachek. Just. WOW. Give that man some kale and quinoa all season long. Not sure if he'll keep up this pace on the assist side. But his shooting percentage is pretty low right now. Figure that will change with a little better luck. I think he could easily stay in the top 10 scoring all season long. |

Good news... Rinaldo's only taken 4 minors so far.
Bad news... opponents have scored on at least 3 of the resulting PP's. |

We really could have done with the wrist shot by Couts at the end of the 1st bouncing in off the post. That would have been a beauty. |

Yeah, good point. I was thinking about cap issues as a reason they may not carry 8. |

I think the only reason why the too many men on the ice call was made, is because it gave the Flyers an advantage that was going to lead to a scoring chance. Raffl jumped on the ice pretty early. If it wasn't a scoring chance, I think it's let go. Bad timing, but in that situation, I think it's a call that they have to make. - MJL
Agreed. It wasn't a bad call. Bellemare was a little lazy getting off the ice. Raffl gained possession while Bellemare was still skating off. |

Haha...I put 9:00am for the over/under as to when someone would jump on Rinaldo for last night's transgression. I had the under.
Good thing he's not a skilled player. He'd be dropped to the 5th line. |

took far too many penalties last night although I felt that some of them were very borderline calls. |

Rinaldo is actually playing really well this season and I think he deserves credit. |

I'm actually starting to think having Jake play the I high point on thec PP is a waste. He's much nore dangerous downlow. The pass to Raffl in the dying moments of the game was Forsberg like. Man, Vorachek. Just. WOW. Give that man some kale and quinoa all season long. Not sure if he'll keep up this pace on the assist side. But his shooting percentage is pretty low right now. Trade schenn. Grossmann isn't as huge of a liability
