I'm not trying to single out Vinny, or even Read. But you can't get crushed at ES by the Panthers. You can't. You just (frank)ing can't

Regardless of how this game turns out, to me, the Flyers:

1. Need to figure out how to get Matt Read going -- I'd get him off that line with Couturier. He's been that invisible this year

2. Seriously need to evaluate that 2nd PP unit -- they get absolutely nothing from it. Nothing

3. Find a LW with some speed to play with Lecavalier and Simmonds -- it you're going to run that combo, that LW needs to be somebody who can move

See, to me, it's smart hockey, because it's winning hockey when you add talent to it, which they can/will when Barkov and those guys get healthy

Playing good defense, sucking the life out of games, is what teams with young players struggle to do, so I give them credit for it

But the Flyers are too experienced to be getting beat like this

Lowering ones expectations helps with these results. As long as the players who have a chance at surviving the trash Fire and being here when the team is trash to establish itself are put in the best roles to succeed. Seems a bit that Berube is playing for his job instead of the future.
