Good point..
They talk so much about development why is girgensons here. send him to Rochester work on his off. game. All 12 forward 6 def have not impressed.
Its all about McDavid now. No more McEichel. I want number 1 - hafgod
THANK YOU!
I've been saying this about Girgensons ever since he came up here
He could be playing top minutes & getting PP time in Rochester, helping to develop his offensive game
He clearly has offensive talent...
But is this the best place for him to develop it?
Just BC he tries hard doesn't mean he should be up here
If Grigorenko can be sent down to work on defense,
Why can't Girgensons go down to work on offense?
I know that's simplifying things...
But I think my point is made |

I liked Weber's interview. Alot.
And, as I noted last night, he was even +/- with 17:00 TOI in a 5 - 0 loss. I think that's a hella solid game.
Nolan is using some Jedi mind trick here, just like sending Grigo down after he was one of the better players in preseason. - Der Kaiser
That's great that he pulled off an even on 5-0 night, but it doesn't atone for the awful hockey he's played the last two years. I've never seen an individual directly responsible for as many goals against as Mike. |

To be fair, Weber and Strachan were given incredibly sheltered zone starts. I don't think I can fine anyone who had a solid performance last night - sbroads24

Not arguing. The only problem Murray has is next year he is going to be overloaded with young players on the roster |

Agreed . Good points. Girgs was there a year and showed the work ethic that the team needed from a rookie stand point. Most of the others are not showing it. Maybe him being up is a detriment of what it takes for management to recognize the commitment they are looking for? I'm not on that management team but I sure as hell wish all the others would follow Girgs game attitude. |

I think you may be correct . Girgensons seemed to have a real look of frustration on his face the last few games . Maybe a trip to the AHL for him is not a bad idea.

No but saying he was incredibly solid last night is a big stretch.

Weber plays limited minutes against the worst opposing competition with the most offensive zone starts.
He's an awful player who gets noticed for bad defensive plays despite being incredibly sheltered |

You bring up good points the buzz has turned into a danger zone lately. It's why I don't come around nearly as much as I used too. I have had my share of discussions on here that have gotten out of hand but lately everything gets out of hand and its been the same discussion for the last 2 years other than Fire Darcy.
There are a lot of regulars who don't come around as much, I know it doesn't help the Sabres are god awful but most of us expected it to be bad. It will all be worth it
- Stripes77
Nice vids stripes. thanks . Iv'e been here consistently since 2006. And seen many come and go. Was great to see a bunch of old faces here at the start of the season. But they are gone for now. I'm optimistic that some will return as there has always been some good conversations on here with all the posters. Them being here will make it better. |

You linked to 2014 season stats. I didn't say anything about the season. I said he was solid last night.
Last night, he played the second PK, against the league's best powerplay. No goals surrendered while he was on the ice. What bad defensive play did you see him make last night? |

He was on the ice for at least one of the PP goals. Which is fine, we were playing the Pens. I just wouldn't reference last night for any of our players. It was a pitiful game as usual |
