am not saying he is a number one. But he does bring attributes a team could use. Paul Guadstad was a fourth line center who netted a first rounder because a team thought he was a need. Not saying Luke gets you a first rounder but he could have value to certain teams. - J35Bacher
Sure, he could have value, but how much? 2nd rounder? Maybe an additional 4th? He's not going to have a ton of value.

did you read that article on NHL.com about goalie masks? extensive quotes from hextall. I tend to agree w/ his approach regarding what should be on it. |

I agree that he has some value, just not a lot. He is an NHL defensemen but, like you said, that is a broad range. |

I would take a 2nd rounder. But maybe a package of both Schenn's gets you a solid prospect and pick. |

I think he has value in a package .. A 2 for 1. Maybe a team in the west..Arizona or the Jets could be feasible partners

Do you think Hextall would make a play for Voynov if LA wanted to move him due to his recent legal problems? |

If he gave up next to nothing, maybe. If Voynov is convicted then he may never play another NHL game. Either way, I wouldn't want him because the publicity would be a nightmare and the Flyers would be hated for adding Voynov. |

I'd want more for Brayden Schenn than a solid pick and prospect |

Yeah. I was just thinking out loud. But Varlamov had his situation and it seemed to die down. Guess it will have to play out. |

Charges got dropped for Varlamov. Also happened before Ray Rice and all the NFL messes. |

A team making a playoff run into the playoffs could use guys like Grossmann and Schenn. They provide size and shot blocking and physicality and pk work that teams going into the playoffs could use. As bad as we think they are or their limitations they provide something on a better built team could use. - J35Bacher
They won't be paying a big price though. Especially with their salaries running through next season |

Yup. Biggest thing is the NFL. Prior to that, no one, in any league, really faced any significant repercussions for domestic violence. If the Rice video doesn't come out, Voynov is probably still suiting up to play. |

We should trade him for the second overall. Could use a forward. |

See prices change when it gets closer to the TDL. If they move them around there to a playoff team you can get more because it being more of a need for a team entering the playoffs. yes right now value wouldn't be as high. |

i agree with hextall - always have. my general view is most masks are too busy these days. less is more. and try to have the team be the focal point. personal stuff can be on the back plate, chin or small details elsewhere. |

Both Schenns to Arizona? Well, that should get a half decent return. |
