That's why I didn't join originally, how can you have an enjoyable hockey pool with people you don't know or ever met.

Agreed. Or if I made this trade with Zogg or someone else it would probably not be an issue. At the time of the trade I think I was actually higher than you in the standings
You'd think Brian Elliott is a better goaltender than Carey Price I see him more as a tweener goalie like Fasth or Hiller

- bezz44

By the way, I agree with you with respect to St. Louis - I could see Jake Allen supplanting Elliot down the road.

And to add one other thing, I think this Lehtora is a good pick-up - him and Tarasenko have had some great chemistry (6 points in 9 games is better than a whole slew of higher profile players)

It's actually been pretty fun, outside of the veto-happy crowd.

I don't think it's necessary to know all the people in the pool in order for it to be enjoyable (I'm in another dynasty league in its 5th year and it's been very enjoyable, even though I don't really know most of the other managers). Given we've been posting here for a long time, I feel like I've come to know quite a lot of you (which is actually scary because I know either Nucker or Vantel (or both) are most likely serial killers )

What would fix things is what I've been saying all along. Take out subjectivity in these decisions, negotiate with the PA a standardized system of discipline where each offense has a minimum number of games and for each aggregating factor, more games are added. So let's say hits to the head, it starts at 1 game, if he leaves his feet that's another game, if his PPA is the head, another game and so on. You also take into account injury, so if the player returns to the game, it's not a factor, if he's day-to-day that's a certain number of games, if he's on the DL, that's 10+ depending on the severity of the injury. Do that and all these dirty plays will quickly disappear.

I am happy with both suspensions being three games but what bothers me is that Ferrance is a triple offender and Burrows was new. So both acts were similar yet in the past those with multiple offenses get more.............wha-happin!

Nucker I think the fantasy gods demand a sacrifice to appease the whining few.

Erik Cole for Stamkos straight up?

You're kidding, right? maybe if you added a first round pick it would even things out a bit - so Stamkos and 1st round pick for Cole

I personally would not do this trade, though, unless there was a couple more pieces added along with Stamkos and the first rounder

(Cole is quietly putting up some career numbers - looks like a definite breakout year for him finally, which is great to see)

I like the way you think Zogg. Get ready for about a dozen trade offers coming your way.

you know that I am an excellent evaluator of talent (it's just something inherent and I can't really explain it but it's nonetheless nice to get a bit of credit for my puck and stick acumen, Alex )

lol I don't believe so; however, I did end up teaching Don a hell of a lot about hockey, haute couture, fashion in general, Europeans and the importance of visors, taking out fighting and hitting from the league in the near future. I also introduced him to Biesksa, and, for the most part, basically made him what he is today.
