It's good to see we've got that prospect out of the line up for the broken unsigned Dman. Getting him down for some AHL pixie dust will be good. We just need to get Akeson back down and find a cheap replacement for him.
Maybe Ray Whitney or is his potential production too much of a risk at this point in the season? - mayorofangrytown
Lol, snarky
Should have let him play in front of the family though.

Correct - BiggE
No, it's not correct. It's blatantly obvious that this team comes out flat in a lot of games, and is able to ramp up it's game and intensity level when they get behind. |

The Panthers have allowed 18 goals this season which is tied for the lowest in the NHL along with the Wild but Minnesota has played one more game. So I agree, the Panthers aren't getting enough credit. They are good defensively and in net (Luongo is still a good goalie). They've scored only 14 goals though but they'll win some games by keeping opponents to scoring little. - NickTheKid87
Becoming good defensively just happens automatically? How did they get to be such a good defensive team? |

Its good to know that their habit of not being ready to play in the start of games for the last four seasons has to do with talent and not lack of effort.
This teams amazing ability to come back from deficits late in games speaks to their talent in the latter half of games. Talent that does not exist at the beginning of games.
So its a lack of talent. But only a lack of "beginning of game" talent.
I'm glad that has been cleared up.

Well teams tend to play differently when they are winning and losing. The Flyers pushing the play when they are down doesn't prove anything except perhaps that the other team let up a bit. Notice they didn't comeback against Chicago and struggled to do so against a solid defensive team like Florida. They beat a terrible defensive team in Dallas, won against a team they own in Pittsburgh, and barely beat an LA team that has lost 4 in a row including to Carolina. So their best win was against a Detroit team for which they were dominated in shots 37 to 17. Or does the comebacks only to lose later prove they have great talent. |

You're not going to beat the Panthers playing dump and chase and not executing on the PP. They're a team that is playing phenomenal team defense right now and they will eat you alive if you don't execute.
The Flyers didn't get beat because Florida is better, they got beat because Florida executed a lot better. - Jsaquella
The main reason why they got beat is because they simply didn't show up to play, and didn't match the Panthers intensity level. Flyers got outworked and outplayed by a lesser team. Executing on the PP, was definitely also part of it. |

Do you think Akeson can produce enough offense at the NHL level to be considered an offensive PP specialist? They expect Akeson to compete away from the puck. He hasn't done that. Therefore he deserves to be scratched. - MJL
I disagree that he hasnt competed away from the puck... he just isnt good at winning wall battles, and doesnt have great defensive instincts. He skates hard, has tried to play physical. |

Teams do play diferently strategically depending on game situations. But there is a painfully obvious difference in the intensity that the Flyers show, when they are behind in some games. And you're right, that in some cases such as Chicago, they are that good that you just aren't going to come back on them. They're a top team. But really, if it's just about Dallas being a terrible defensive team, why didn't the Flyers lead the entire game? The Flyers have shown an ability to ramp up their game in a lot if situations when they're behind in the score. My contention is that if they played with that intensity from the opening faceoff, they wouldn't be playing from behind so often. And that's against chicago or any team. |

Well they have a good defensive corps. A better mix than a lot of teams also. Kulikov, Ekblad, Gudbranson, Mitchell, Campbell, etc. is definitely above average. They also have a very good goal tender. They have defensively responsible forwards like Bolland, Kopecky, Jokinen, etc. Most of all they buy into the system. However, the are sacrificing offense for defense to some extent. |

He has been awful, and easily knocked off the puck. He has clearly not played with the same level of compete that he played with in the playoffs. That's why he has been scratched, and continues to be scratched. |

They do have some good players, they also refuse to be outworked. If the Flyers bought the same consistent work ethic to the ice, they'd be a much better team, and have a much better record. |

I was watching a YouTube clip of hockey players talking trash. Hartnell is in it a lot. Also, Sidney Crosby really is a cry baby. This conversation between him and Dion Phaneuf and him and a Ref. His logic really is "let me have my way". |

So.....
I got an 89.5 on my PnT exam.
He reviewed it because the average was so bad and dropped questions.
I jumped from a 78 to an 89.5 on the hardest exam I've ever taken.
I...I don't know what to do with myself.. |
