ive thought for a while they really should split them up. since you guys dont have a technical number 2 center, jake could supplement that role from the wing since he is very good with the puck on his stick and making plays.
you could swing simmonds up to the top line with giroux, but then i wonder if raffl would still be effective enough in that role, as he would likely have to take on more of a burden. as of now, that top line is working wonderfully, and although you lose some balance by placing your 2 best forwards on the first line, you make up for it a bit by having raffl able to be acceptable as a top 6 forward, creating a trickle down effect for depth.
however, since its working so well right now, it would make me question the merits of breaking it up at this point. - stayinthefnnet
The top line is the only one I wouldn't change |

The top line can be dynamic, but they need a playmaker and puck carrier for the 2nd line. I'd like to get a look at that, and see what happens.

and as much as it would tickle me pink to have fraud giroux sightings be the reason for that. i cant in good faith say that is why.
that first line is downright clicking |

yeah that was my original thinking of splitting them up. its more an uncertainty of finding someone to be able to not leave giroux on an island than it is wondering if jake can drive his own line to me |

I'm not saying he is, but Jake is playing like he's the best player in the league right now. |

I think when that pass that jake made on the near side that bounced back to him Fasth lost where the puck was, but he was slow as dirt getting over |
