I always really liked him in ottawa, he always looked like he was finally going to develop into a top 6 player. But he never was able to make the jump. He shouldn't be in the top six of a contender. And 5 million is too much for him.

6mil for staal is as bad as 5 mil for foligno. You don't hand out big money to dmen who can't put up points. You'd be paying staal like a top 10-15 dman in the league, and he's not even close. Not convinced he's any better than methot

I'm suprised we haven't heard more about Methot's injury status lately. I would think him being out this long is not helping him and his agent when their asking for $5.5 per on a 4 - 5 year deal.

I like Methot [alot] but if the salary is higher than $5M per year I'd like if Ottawa can trade him. It's easier said than done because we would have to sure up the D --- but that's what the NHL is -- we'd have to make trades

TSN had the same problem last year. Kind of ruins the anticipation factor. Hopefully it's resolved soon or the mute button comes into play.
