Somebody help me with this Canuck trivia.
Tonight 1040 talked about the last Canuck who ever scored in his first game... it got me to thinking... we once had a player, whom I believe we drafted who finally made the team but broke his leg in the ... what I think was his first game, or at least very very early in his career... and never played again.
I think it was early 90s.

Funny how Keenan and Torts are tied. - Beatle_john
Well Keenan had Messier and Torts had Kesler, so they are even on the douche level. |

No... in his career he only played a few games... again, maybe only 1.
He was a young guy. I can still see the image of hium getting hurt... it was on CKVU's sportpage so this goes back a bit. |

There's some fans of Eastern teams that actually think that the whole West>East thing is overblown.... |

Eastern and Western games are literally two separate styles... the East is too weak. |

Remember the lessons we have learned from Leafs fans, it's the first week of November and we are only one point ahead of what we had the same time last season. |

encouraging for the nucks fans to see secondary scoring from guys other than the sedin/vrbata line. Bonino is filling in nicely for kesler as well |

That second goal by Bonino was a thing of beauty! He's not the fastest guy out there but he's got great hands and he always gets his stick in the lanes. |

McCann is gonna be a good player, I've got a feeling about that kids desire and talent to be an NHL'er. |

The NTC clauses are a big hurdle in any deal for these two players.
Burrows has to be feeling the pressure to play well and produce while not with the Sedins.
Bieksa isn't going anywhere. He said something last year about going down with the ship.
I am a bigger Burrows fan than Bieksa, but I don't think the team has the depth on d without Bieksa and guessing whatever piece(s) that comes back will not have an immediate positive impact. At least with moving Burrows, there are other players more ready to jump up already in the system.
But yeah, I think Burrows could do with a change in scenery. |

Maybe the NHL should aquire something like the CFL playoff structure ...top 8 in west make the playoffs ...next 2-3 cross over to play the lightening, pens, Habs, etc

Burrows is a guy you attempt to trade at the deadline as that is when you get the most return for a gritty player like him.
but that 4.5 cap hit |
