May be pushing $6.5M - $7M. But the Flyers should do whatever they have to do to keep him, whether it be trading one or more of the veteran D or a forward like Read or Umberger. - jmatchett383

Only if Marty McSorely is involved. |

Yes, he'll be diagnosed with a bruise, day-to-day. Then he'll miss 3 games. Then he'll be out 4-6 weeks. - jmatchett383
Wait this isn't funny, and will likely happen. |

What does that make Mike Green, aside from a right winger masquerading as a defenseman? Or Erik Karlsson? |

Is there any chance Raffl can just have a bruise and be day to day? I'm guessing of course there can't. - PLindbergh31
Yeah, that would be nice, but doubtful. Just the way the puck hobbles in Philly.

But somehow had the best Corsi numbers of any of them - Feanor
In terms of Corsi Rel, Rinaldo was a bit better. Lol
Umberger had more events both for & against than Lecavalier & Simmonds, using all situations. Probably due to the disparity of power plays |

If you got to pick one defenseman to start a team with, he's the one I'd take right now.
Weber and Keith and then Chara next. |

I'd still take Weber. But Doughty is definitely right there. I'd actually take Suter over Keith. |

Chara? He's 37 with a torn ligament in his knee. |

I'd take Hedman. Shame he got hurt this year. Doughty and Weber would be tied for me behind him. |

good pick me up game although edmonton is horrible..our d looked decent but had a lot of turnovers that if we were playing a good team would have capitalized
mason was solid, from the stands streit looked horrible with many flubs and bad positioning imo.
carlo looked solid, mdz seems to be getting better, luke was decent as was shultz |

Doughty is 5 years younger than Weber though. That would have to factor in the decision. |

Related: Mike Green was a big, fat -4 in a 4 - 3 loss to Calgary last night.

I heard Chara's torn ligament is doing a conditioning stint in Providence and will be taking a regular shift in a week. |

I'd have a hard time choosing between him and Karlsson. Hedman is the next great dominating two-way guy, but what Karlsson does well... nobody else can come close.

Chara is a physical freak. I saw highlights when the Bruins were doing conditioning drills in camp. Chara did the most pull ups on the team by a huge margin. And bench pressed 225 pounds like 10 times more than anyone else. Considering he's pushing 40 and has arms 8 feet long pretty impressive. Not to mention he probably weighs at least 275 |

Even Clement commented on Raffl's shot blocking as 'awkward'...sideways and on one knee, exposing both legs. Everybody's has their own style, and nobody likes to take the Lappy approach and drop to their knees to face the puck, but he took one for the team last night. Just hope it's not too serious.
