PP is the problem.
It would give them confidence and momentum.
That's what they are frustrated about.
That being said, bench Prust and Bourque damn it. - soad_live
Allowing 5, 6 and 7 goals against is kind of a problem too, if you ask me. |

So they suck because they are frustrated. But they are frustrated because they suck.
So why do they initially suck? - EssuieToutJeune
They're lacking people with the testicular fortitude to drive the center of the ice.
Every rush is either along the boards or dumped in the corners(lol Desharnais & Pacioretty trying to retrieve dumps is so (frank)ing pointless).
Nobody ever cuts to the middle except for Plek when he lets those... half clappers(EE called them?) go. |

Not showing up with any apparent desire to compete is a problem.
How come there are about 8 teams in the east that show up flat for half their games. How many in the west, 2 maybe? |

... who's only move is to skate real hard for 3 steps, enter the zone, lazily toss the puck at the net from the blue line and then stand, stunned as the play goes the other way and finally meanders over for a line change so he can take a nap on the bench. - zedniksghost

It really is amazing.
I was listening to the guys on the radio this morning talking about the Leafs losing all the puck battles, yet again.
I just don't understand how they get away with that. Not every team is going to have the talent of LA Chi Pit etc. but you would think that, if you don't have that kind of talent, you would try to get guys who would consistently out-work the other team. It is like it is somehow acceptable to mail it in half the time and collect your multi-millions.
You guys don't sound happy with some of your forwards. The description sounds a lot like some of ours.
I swear to God I want the next CBA to remove the salary cap ... AND remove guaranteed contracts.

I don't care too much about the Salary cap.
But I agree about guaranteed contracts. Get rid of them. |

Bourque, who's only move is to skate real hard for 3 steps, enter the zone, lazily toss the puck at the net from the blue line and then stand, stunned as the play goes the other way and finally meanders over for a line change so he can take a nap on the bench.
Must admit I couldn't describe it more accuratly |

Well with our current coaching mentality, Bournival didn't show much in the whole 8 minutes of playing time, so we better sit him. Bring back Moen put him on 1st line, no wait Bourque has played well, let's reward him with 1st line duties, better sit Beaulieu because he has played two games and must be feeling too comfortable, and sit price because he has sucked, just look at his GAA last two games - Baxman
nah, they will leave price in every game until he almost snaps like a couple years ago when he raised his arms to the crowd in frustration when they cheered a save. Then the media will talk about how he needs to mature and keep his cool. And eventually he'll say '(frank) this poop', and demand a trade.
then Bourque will play goalie.
also, Therrien needs to spend less time lookign for pin-striped suits to distract from the fact he looks like he's a melting wax statue. It's not, less about team managment and more about 'MB vs. MT: Battle of the Old Guys trying to be Metrosexual and Stylish' |

Only one way out of this funk Eric.
Gotta work hard for a full 60.
This is on the coaches, not the so called leaders, because they've made it clear by having 4 A's, there really isn't one.. |

That's what happen when you reward a guy who slept 3/4 of the season with a 14M contract. |

This.
And leave someone else in the lineup who's played 10 games out of the 180 he's been in the lineup for.

We can blame the coach for the system or lines combination, but players not giving a full effort, sorry, that's on them, not the coach. |
