Well for one thing, if the Habs have to grab a guy from the press box, who has done absolutely nothing at the NHL level (other than have an amazing pre-training camp skate where he ripped pucks off the crossbar) and put him on the first line, then they have bigger issues than their coach.

respectfully, i disagree, kind of.

the whole 'leaders/captains' thing is stupid on every level and every sport. If all these big babies need a goddamn cheerleader to remind them in between periods :
'okay guys, we need to win the game and not lose it! lets score goals and not let in goals! alright, on 3..1, 2, 3.. yay team!'

My potty training 2 year old needs less encouraging than apparently these multi-millionaire babies do.

(frank) deshairnais centering the top line, try him on the wing, he'll have more space and less nipples in his face trying to hang out in the slot. Besides, its becoming apparent that having him dump in the puck and watching patch and PAP/weiss/whoever the (frank) chase it behind the net and tossing it in front isnt working, since deshairnais spends half his ice time on his ass anyway. galchenyuk seems to like to carry in the puck, and its working often enough, see if patches and whoever have better luck/positioning if they dont start every offensive drive behind the net.

Speaking of dumb penalties, it seems that every game Montreal gets called for embellishing. I mean, Weaver gets knocked over by a hit he doesn't see coming and he gets an embellishment call. This is getting ridiculous.

This is a team that has two centers malhotra and eller that have absolutely
ZERO playmaking ability. Malhotra aside from winning faceoffs looks to me
Like a player on the eve of retirement
Desharnais is what? A career 40-50 point guy? 10-15 goals a year from your top 2 center?? Pleky aka Mr October is a solid reliable two way center that is it
We have no true #3 or 4 dman.
