Players skate around creating a vortex that sucks all the oxygen from the top of the arena. Fans up there get slightly light headed and most don't remember the game. The players take advantage of this. Some have to crouch to get the proper oxygen. Players as tall as Myers have to do it more often, specially when trying to skate faster than their opponents. (you will notice next game). I hope this little tid bit of information was helpful.
