Well next year I would say the hotel attached to the arena. Are you trying to stay in the city or do you mind a 15-20 min drive? There are a few by the airport which is right by the 33 which takes you right downtown that might be reasonable.

Most of those hotels are fairly new or have been renovated recently so they aren't terrible.

Courtyard Buffalo Downtown/Canalside - Marriott

Courtyard Canalside is brand new and right there. Not cheap though. None of the downtown ones are, except the Adams Mark. I don't recommend the the Adams Mark.

No one really cares about Buffalo, but now all of a sudden we are the poster child for "tanking." It is almost funny how "professionals" hate when a team that isn't Pittsburgh, Chicago, Montreal, Detroit, Toronto, etc are trying to get better.

I remember 10 years ago(even less really) that part of downtown was so one dimensional. Adams Mark was the only hotel. If you were out you were either at Pearl st or Chippewa.

It's guilt by association. We are at the bottom with a ton of draft picks, it makes people think we are doing this on purpose.

I always feel that the NHL and other leagues always seem to find away to help their former champions return to their glory. But for some reason because Buffalo was never a champion, screw them.
