Bryz is never the right answer, no matter the question, much like Alexander Daigle. He's just never the correct answer. - jmatchett383
but what if the question was what goaltender was ever paid the highest per save rate by a single team? |

totally understandable. and i know that does play a role. but at some point, it can only get you so far. - stayinthefnnet
Players are chosen based on potential as we all know. Sometimes guys peak early instead of progressing normally. I think Luke Schenn is an example of this. |

But seriously, I wasn't. I played like Rob DiMaio, but on defense. I played like Nick Grossmann but with the body of Mark Recchi. Never put up high point numbers, and was a defenseman who played defense (a crazy thought, I know). I'm sure my CORSI Rel. was terrible, even though I was team captain for 4 straight years. - jmatchett383

Well, Berube doesn't want to break up the dominant 2nd and 3rd lines and it's impossible for PEB to move to LW, so Rosehill is probably the next in line. |

This roster is seriously a Giroux or Voracek injury away from lottery territory. The depth they have is either not talented or too young.
In a few years, if some of these younger guys in LV or juniors pan out and they clear out some contracts......that's when you deep six Berube. |

He's totally overrated. Never does anything well. Only scores empty netters. |

I think the Phantoms will have 3 players who are better than Umberger, Blair Jones and VDV by the end of the season. They probably won't be playing unless there are 2,356 injuries |

fair enough to me.
but still. the statement presented to me was that luke schenn is an infinitely better defenseman than gus.
that much, is hard for me to buy.
and no, i dont want a retort from anyone of oh well you dont have to buy it. one of them is in the NHL for X number of games and the other one is in europe. |

Would you take Alexander Semin if Carolina kept 40% of the contract and you didn't have to give up any top prospects? |

Berube's act is wearing thin on me already. It is obvious that Akeson should be the guy who takes Raffl's place. It is a win win. It helps Akeson find his game, and it keeps a level of skill on the top line that you wont get with VDV.
It has nothing to do with rewarding a player or not rewarding a player for poor play. It has to do with what is best for the team.
I'm beginning to think more and more that Berube has an arrogance about him that I didn't know he had. - MBFlyerfan

I don't care what the question is. If the question was, "What player was chosen first overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft?" the answer still is not Diagle. |

Rather than use VandeVelde, I'd like to see Bellemare at LW on Giroux's line and have Laughton recalled to center L4 |

I wasn't able to throw many head shots. Had to use my positioning and low center of gravity to take guys off the puck. Loved defending odd-man rushes and never had a problem stepping in front of a shot. But I was never fast, and was far from a superior puck mover. |

When did Akeson become the great white hope? He wasn't even a minor league star and now he is the savior for the first line Can we move on from Akeson. He is just not that good. |
