Hope Couturier can go tonight, with Raffl already out no Coots would mean even more of Rinaldo and VDV on the pk |

Still can't believe Rinaldo is on the PK...makes me cringe every time I see him out there in a man down situation |

Nah, 10-games or 30-days (whichever comes first) before he has to go thru again. |

Nope. The Flyers can keep him as long they want. If he plays 10 games or remains past 30 days, he'd have to be waived again to be sent to the Phantoms. Until then, the Flyers are free to send him to Lehigh Valley as they want. |

Bill, along these same lines, will Akeson have to clear waivers if he's sent down? I don't understand why they don't send him to the Phantoms if he has little shot of playing for the Flyers at this point |

You know what they say: you can lead a horse to water...
Hexy's removed Rosehill as an option, and put a decent playmaker at Chief's fingertips, but he still can't/won't force Berube to play the kid. |

Based off his last couple games, I would have thought that B.Schenn would have had the first look at the top line LW spot...I guess that idea is gone..... |

Obviously Akeson hasn't played well enough in games or practices. Berube in no way, shape or form has biases as a bright hockey guy and Akeson's subpar performance is in no way due to being used in a role he's ill suited for. If he was good he'd do well in that role.
And before you suggest sending Umberger to the 4th line, he's a proven veteran and not suited to the 4th line. |

But do you know who can force Berube to play Akeson? Jason Akeson can.

I wouldn't say it's gone. You might even see some of that tonight. Berube is looking for balance throughout the lineup, rather then just stack the deck on the top line. |

Patrick Sharp will apparently miss up to 4 weeks with a leg injury. The scales on who won that trade are finally tipping back our way!
In seriousness, there's been a ton of injuries this season so far, for a lot of teams. It's a bit ridiculous |

What is the evidence that Berube has a bias against the player? That he's not playing him? Playing in a role that a player is not suited for, does not stop a player from competing and earning more playing time or a better role.
Who has said that Umberger can't play on the 4th line?
Bottom line, can make passive aggressive comments , or actually discuss the situation.

I get that each line needs some balance; however, I don't know if that is the case. I really don't know what his thought process is. Sometimes, one really has to question his logic.
If you want balance, then separate your two best possession players, G and Jake. Through the first 12 games, Jake has shown he can drive the play without G. If it’s me, my lines would look like this (assuming Couts can play tonight).
BSchenn-G-Simmonds
Read-Couts-Jake
Umby-Vinny-Akeson
Rinaldo-PEB-Jones/VDV
