Probably. Sbisa is a RFA at the end of this year. We are stuck with Luke @ 3.6 through the end of next year.

Akeson has improved a lot in the last few years but NHL scouts still see a soft and undersized player who has "NHL hands but AHL feet" -- that opinion has not changed.

That's probably a fair description, but I think having NHL hands is something that isn't given as much importance as it should be. "Hands" shouldn't just refer to creating offense, they should also encompass how well you make passes under pressure in your own zone, and how well you fish the puck out of a sea of bodies against the boards, how you chip the puck down the ice just enough to avoid icing, etc. How many goals against the Flyers have happened in the last few seasons directly after failed clears, like this one by Read and Jones?

Akeson may not score many points, or maybe any points getting 7 minutes on the 4th line this year, but so far I don't think he's been at fault or any of the two goals scored while he's been out there.

who said i blamed him? i was just explaining that in my opinion he had a chance. you said he had no chance. i completely disagree. he made 2 separate attempts and got beat both times by excellent finish from rnh.
