Maybe because he's playing with another skilled player in Bellemare, which was the point made all along by everyone that didn't like him being used with VandeVelde & Rinaldo. It's not about 4th line, per se, it's about playing him with players & a role that fit his skill set. When he's with VandeVelde & Rinaldo, it's an energy line. Add Bellemare, and the dynamic of the line changes because it's more skilled

Who he is playing with, has zero to do with it. He's still playing with Rinaldo, and Bellemare is a good player, but he's not an offensive stalwart. The dynamic of the line has nothing to do with it. And it has everything to do with Akeson himself. Come to the rink and play like he has tonight to this point. No matter who he's playing with. And he won't be in the press box. Because who you're playing with changes whether you have jump or not and are up on your skates? Seriously? So if Berube switches Bellmare and Vandevelde, Akeson will automatically not play hard, and stop skating and working?

Why is it that no matter where you play Raffl, Bellemare, or even Vandevelde, you get the same player? But with Akeson, it's different.

Pretty sure everybody was Ok with 10-14-24. I didn't like 18-40-17. Still don't.

Lots of focus on the Flyers defense, as a big weakness. The way Del Zotto is playing right now, at both ends of the ice. Dramatically changes that outlook. If he keeps this play up, and they get Coburn and MacDonald back, the Flyers defense isn't the ball and chain it's made out to be.

If Del Zotto terms out to be a nice find, obviously you've gotta bring him back but I look at all the other deals. Grossmann, Streit, MacDonald and even Coburn's contract. Coburn in my mind should be safe. Many will scream one of Grossmann or Schenn should go but both guys bring an important physical element back there. I actually feel Luke Schenn should be within the plans of the team unless they can upgrade over him. To keep Del Zotto, I'd move one of MacDonald or Streit. Grossmann I believe should go when Morin is ready to go.
