Vandevelde is a better player for this team than vinny or umberger

I don't expect Carlo Colaiacovo to be with the Flyers all season but you have to factor in who has been playing well and the cost of these players. Streit, MacDonald, Coburn, Schenn, Grossmann, Del Zotto needs a new deal, Schultz is playing well. What if Kimmo Timonen can play during the second half? Should we carry all these guys all season when the top line could use an upgrade over Vandevelde and possibly Raffl?

I think they will keep Colaiacovo for the rest of the season, because Hextall sounds like he wants to keep 8 defensemen for injury purposes. Maybe if Timonen can return, but short of that or an unexpected trade, I think Colaiacovo sticks
