I still like the idea of trading for Chris Stewart. He's played for average to below average offensive teams. I think he has more to give.

Eh I agree Schenn is overrated when you consider the hype he had before he became an NHL regular but he's gotten better every season since his rookie year which you can't ask for much more than that.

I think he brings good balance to that Couts line and if they stay together, I can see him consistently putting up 50-60 points while helping Couts find his offensive game.

As a pending UFA, I believe Buffalo is eating cash right now and his cap hit should seem more reasonable as the season goes on. At the same time, IF we traded MacDonald for Stewart, MacDonald makes more either way. We have to let the Flyers season play out though. Injuries happen and we might need our Dmen afterall.

When you consider how much he's been shifted around the lineup and has been saddled with Vinny and Briere as linemates at times, any improvement is good to see. I think you'll see a more consistent and substantial rate of improvement if they give him a chance to be put on a line and stay there.
