I agree. I think MDZ puts some pressure on AMac next season if he keeps up this play. - hereticpride
Don't understand that. You need both. Why would it be one or the other? All the talk about the Flyers defense lacking mobility and puck skills. Now they should get rid of one? Doesn't make sense. |

Haters have to hate. All the talk about his +/-. Well he's a +3 in the last 4 games, including a +1 tonight.

I think Streit is safe and Ghost comes up next year on the mobile side of the D. Maybe they keep AMac over LSchenn? |

Flyers will go with 8 for a while when everyone comes back. Nothing wrong with competition for playing time.

Jake tied for the league lead in points. Three of the top four teams are Canadian. Flyers near the bottom of the penalty minute column.
This is a strange season. |

Recently we've been scoring even strength, its crazy. I bet we could win a shootout if it came to it |

Two things, one, he doesn't suck. And two, his contract isn't a big deal.
Scapegoaters have to scapegoat. Have to criticize someone after a 4 -1 win.

Fair point. I guess it depends what side of the fence you're on when it comes to guys losing their job due to injury.
Obviously when Coburn and AMac come back they will be instantly in the line up, but I kind of wish Grossmann was the outside looking in. Carlo has been a pleasant surprise these 2 games. Him and Luke seem to be doing well together. |

I think Luke is the first guy to sit when Coburn gets back.

Still lots of time to defend, and need a player like Grossmann for his physical play, and shot blocking on the PK.

I think it really depends on the development of some of the kids. If Ghost comes into training and earns a spot in the NHL, then one of MDZ, Amac or Streit are no longer needed. So far this early season, I think Streit would be the one I'd like to see go consider he hasn't done much. Good or bad he's just kinda been there. He's also a lot older than Amac and MDZ.
Now if Morin comes in and shows that he deserves a spot with the Flyers, then one of Grossmann or Schenn become disposable. I guess you could throw Coburn into that mix as well but I'd much rather keep him over the other two. And imo I would like it to be Grossmann on the way out. I think Grossmann is the better player right now but there's a lot of wear and tear on that body and despite how frustrating Schenn can be, there is at least still some potential for improvement. However little that may be, but potential none the less. |

He would be my choice also. Not that I think he's been that bad. But when all are back, I'd play Schultz over Schenn right now.

I agree. You sit one of Schenn or Grossmann and all of a sudden our D looks a little small. You have to find that balance between big and fast. |

Doesn't Streit lead our defense in scoring and is far and away the best PP quarterback on the team?
