It was not Zadorov's fault. If it was his fault than it was Brodin's fault too. Those types of hits can't be made. - tomburton99
I am just sick of the "blaming the victim" agreement in these types of situations. Can not stand the "got to keep your head up" argument anymore.
So if a player has his head down, it is OK to blast him in the head? Dumb.
(Unreasonable analogy coming). It is like if I was out having a few pops and unfortunately hit a bunch of kids walking in the street and my argument would be "well, they should have been on the sidewalk. |

I get it. I assumed when Kreider hit Bordin he was going to be suspended for a game. So if Kreider's hit on Brodin is Kreider's fault(Which it should be.), than Sekac's hit Zadorov is Sekac's fault. |

It's no shock to anyone this league is full of double standards.

More beer less butter. Works for me .
You get what we are saying right? League wants to cut down on injuries. This is a perfect example . A hit like that , Specially with blood should be reviewed. Regardless is there is a suspension or not . Players would learn to let up on a vulnerable hit. The skater at fault should be the initiator, not the victim. |

Perhaps you Sabres fans should just be happy that the NHL isn't like the BPL or any European soccer league..you know the leagues where if you are the bottom of the barrel like the Sabres you get demoted to a lower league...
Just my 2 cents - Kaden
Yup, every last place team should get demoted (each year)... maybe you should lay off huffing all that good stuff |

I do get it, I think there should have been a fine and a file made in case this becomes a repeat incident; I feel that would be perfectly in line with what the NHL is trying to do for player safety in this case.
In this exact instance I think it is hard to ask for a suspension only because it looked like Zadorov saw the hit coming and turned around. If they suspend a player in that instance then everyone is going to start turning around to draw penalties and suspensions.
I also will openly say that if the roles were reversed and Sekac was plowed into the boards I would see it as suspension worthy, too. At this point the whole thing is a moot point and it would be best to just move on and hope Zadorov has no lingering issue and the Sekac learns to attack that play differently. |

It's not gonna go any further with the league. So.. Guess best to move on. Valid points.
