on a similar note, I hate that FAFSA is always read as FASFA. It's only five letters, how does literally everybody (frank) this up? - BulliesPhan87
i agree.
but i also hate the fact that it just utterly stops after undergraduate education, so ill call it what i damn well please, which usually boils down to "that (frank)ing piece of poop waste of time" |

I agree; if he can even help kill penalties, i'm fine with it.
If he doesn't pick it up, though, it won't matter for next year. They aren't gonna carry him and Vinny, i do not believe - AllInForFlyers
agreed. something will have to give - too much money tied up in too much dead weight. |

I am one of those people in the minority when it comes to Luke Schenn. I see value in the type of player that he is at +3m/year. He is a defenseman who constantly makes the other team pay the price when they enter the corners of the flyers defensive zone. He is a good shot blocker and penalty killer. He usually makes nice outlet passes and has a knack for keeping the puck in the offensive zone and getting his shot through.
He has obvious shortcomings: foot speed, overzealous stepping up in the neutral zone, etc. Somebody mentioned before, Luke Schenn's biggest problem is that we gave away JVR to get him. You can never reverse that, so why not look objectively at what he brings to your team. At his age, I would keep him over Grossmann if someone needs to be traded to sign Del Zotto next year. - jeffherrm
I definitely agree that Schenn is a better player then is given credit by some. In terms of Grossmann versus Schenn. Grossmann is the better player. But he has creaky knees, and is older. Schenn is younger and very durable. |

Off topic, but did anyone see the Byfuglien hit on Downie? To me, that borders on Hunter/Turgeon. The gap isn't as big, but it's still well after the fact. |

I missed the game last night due to duties with the GF. I see Schenn has 2 assists. Is he starting to take charge out there or should we still trade him? Sounds like Del Zotto kept up his great play and is looking like the gem we need. |

Okay, someone please inform me: Is the name of the person/place Johns Hopkins, or is Hopkins a noun possessed by someone named John? The example you gave is possessive, so it makes sense. I thought the name was simply, "Johns Hopkins" with no ' in Johns. |

Was anyone else hoping that Kopecky left last night with a few less teeth and 2 black eyes? That dude's a sneaky, slimy little poop. |

I'm not gonna argue the second half, but that was a really, REALLY late hit, and extremely dangerous. But, since there was no injury, just 2 minutes. |

That was easily Brayden Schenn's best game of the year. |

Probably. CC has looked pretty good in the first two games. He's remained in tact as well which is a minor miracle. |
